Do you have pics of the frame repair area? I'm not in a position to buy a truck right now more just curious how you did that and how it looks. I wish I had the skills to do something like that.

No, I never took any pics. It wasn't any more difficult than putting a lift on a truck.

I do not know why people are scared of repairing frames. Brakes are much more complicated and has much more potential for extreme consequences.

It is the heart of the truck in some ways. Though on the other hand a frame isn't complicated like an engine or transmission so I get where you are coming from.

Haven't ever dealt with sales there, but I used to go there for service because a buddy set me up with some folks there. Stopped going after I went to then with some noise that I couldn't diagnose and they told me I needed a new driveshaft. Turns out the noise was really just a really rattly heat shield.

Heat shield ended up shutting itself up after a dirty drive to Hidden Splendor though so that's cool.

I’m thinking about putting a deposit on a Bronco Raptor. Will that get me a shunning of a lifetime around here?

The Bronco Sport sure would. You gotta show us if you get a Raptor, those look pretty rad.

Bronco Sport? Ugggh. I’d rather drive an Escape. Seriously.

Yea, went through kind of the same thing. Went in because my front suspension was popping and had an annoying rattle in the center console. They said they fixed it but they didn't. Brought it to the Bryan dealership and come to find out they needed to replace the front coil overs and the technician fixed the God awful rattle. $4k for two new fox coilovers, luckily under warranty. Selling the suspension now so whoever gets it is one lucky sob. Btw I asked them if Karl malone had any notes in service and he told me that the tech put "checked skid plate bolts for noise" and that was it. The technician should just quit. Clearly isn't happy.

Well, the dude at mark Miller emailed me today and said my Taco order isn’t looking likely and to roll it to a 2023. That is what the “tea leaves” told him. I placed money down the end of October. It’s frustrating as I would walk into a dealership today and pay full MSRP, which is something I’ve never done. It’s a real downer. But life goes on. I’m not going to beg any company to take my money. Even Toyota and I have owned and loved 7 of them. They are my favorite cars ever.

In fact I’ve worked my entire life to retire and get a Landcruiser. I retired in June. I go to buy a Landcruiser and nobody had any. I had one reserved in Texas (a 2021 for $80,000) and it got sold from under me. I guess I just need to accept the new normal.
