Sounds good. Do you have a pro or aftermarket grille? Definitely could be the sensor.

The truck is currently at the dealership, but yes, I have a pro grill.

I have a scanner, used it to clear codes on my Taco, had to drive 80 miles on hiway before I could do the inspection.
CK engine light randomly comes on - looks like time to replace Vacuum lines
    PS - I'm close to 9th 9th / Liberty park

Out of curiosity, what scanner do you use? I'm thinking of getting one.

My issue is looking like it's related to the BSM wiring harness. Apparently, they aren't waterproof -. Although, I thought i had that issue taken care of.

And I’d tread lightly. We don’t allow tuners to spam or advertise when they have low post counts. Technically you started prior to 50 posts.

So these KDMAX tunes…it seems like everyone does them now. Is there some official list? I still need a VF Tuner but how does one know they aren’t picking some random dude that doesn’t know what he’s doing? Just word of mouth?

There are several 3rd Gen tunes available on the market now, most built on VF Tuner. The TW Mod’s are tired of the tune bickering, so I’d advise you to look in the forum linked below for more information, or we can chat in a PM to try to keep this thread free of the drama.

It's just like anything else... Anyone modifying a truck that has been designed and built by some seriously capable experts over years and testing... are taking a chance for the sake of "making-it-my-own". NOT a good enough reason for me to risk my wheels... but everyone is an adult here (more or less) so they can do whatever they want.

I didn't buy my truck to modify it. I bought it because I liked it as it is. Chasing, "Oh, that's so cool." by throwing money at the truck is a pretty expensive hobby and I've never seen any mod that didn't have some kind of downside.

Now, that said, if you can come up with some kind of tune that gets me a reliable 25 miles per gallon or more, maybe I could get interested.

Moab yesterday. Made for a sloppy drive out of camp.

I was there too. It was pretty cool to see snow in Moab, you don't see it often.

I had @BortisYeltzen tune my second gen and it was definitely worth it; big difference in acceleration and holding speed up-hills on the highways. I'm not sure if it'd be as worthwhile without the camper or bigger tires, but definitely would do again with the setup I had.

Did it affect your fuel mileage?

Yes, it was better. To be honest though, I didn't formerly track it so I think it was just a few MPGs based on rough estimate.

I also had @BortisYeltzen do mine. Great for the hills as mentioned.

Yes, but I’m really trying not to turn the UT thread into a tuning discussion, there is an entire sub forum for performance and tuning. Happy to talk details, shoot me a PM if interested. I’ve tuned many 2nd Gens with great results.
