Great truck. My only thing is given ladder rack, it could have been heavily used and abused. Look through it carefully.

2018 SR is essentially 12K more. FYI.

I bet they gave $5000-6000 for that truck. That's where I'd start negotiations. No way in hell they'd convince me to pay more than $8500 out the door, tax and everything.

Nothing. I left them in the stock steelies, and let the light burn a hole through my soul. Temporarily.

In all seriousness, the stock steelies are back on the truck and the light is no longer on. I ran into some health issues, and haven't ventured off pavement too much. So I'm getting my money's worth out of the stock tires while I commute.

Ya I same, I left them in the steelies and switched the tire with the OR. The TPMS light is on and trying to see if there is a workaround to using them on the ORs.

1st post, joined this morning although I've been lurking the board for a few weeks.
Picked up a 2017 SR Utility 4x2 2.7 auto with 16,500 miles a few days ago. List price was $20,650, out the door at 23k. Central Illinois.

Traded in my 2011 Ram 1500 extra cab 4.7 V8. The Ram was too much truck for what I needed. The SRUP fits my needs and so far I'm really happy with it. My first truck was a 1985 red Toyota base truck. Have driven a truck ever since. Put close to 200k on that gem. Happy to be back!

    Appreciate this site, great info!

I have read that some people had success with tire shops turning the sensors upside down, but I've also read some tire shops say it will not work. I think that is why the used ones typically sell pretty quick.

Ya I figured it was a toss up depending on the tire shop. I guess ill just be sure to check the pressure often.

Thanks! I'm in Chatham. Born in Bloomington way back when.

Racked 1k on the truck. Happy so far, def. need the intermittent wipers and cruise. Took a minute to get used to the 2.7l coming from a V8, but it does what I need it to do. Adding rear floor mat and tint soon. Impressed with the handling and mpg. Avg. around 24 combined.

Love my standard adaptive cruise on my 18 SR utility

Can’t believe all the standard stuff the 18 comes with for $22,000!
