I am really digging this truck. Yeah it's anemic, and I look like I'm always heading to a jobsite in the company truck, but it's a damn good truck for the money.

I added a black used Softopper I scored from CL. I think the base black bumpers look cool with the Softopper. Kind of military-like... super-utilitarian...

Me and my wife are heading down to Red River Gorge (KY) and then the Monongahala NF (WV) for some camping this week so I'll get a good test of it then...

The front black bumper is one of the things I love about these trucks, looks good with your white!

The beard lends itself well to a winch install! I think the black bumper looks boss with the winch poking out of it.

SDHQ hidden winch mount and Warn VR8S. The 4cyl install is easy because there's no tranny cooler to relocate and there's tons of space behind the grille. I repurposed some metal bits from the OEM sub-bumper / crash bar assembly to remote mount the control pack (although the winch remote is wireless so the pack doesn't really have to be mounted in an accessible area). Plenty of room to access the clutch either through the top of the engine bay with the hood up, or you can get a finger on it through the grille.

Me? 265/75 16 Wildpeaks. Fender gap should look close to factory though because it has a 1" front 1/2" rear lift.

I did the intermittent wiper mod today on my (Bearded) 2nd Gen SR. I bought the stalk online from McGeorge Toyota and it arrived within a week. Literally took 20 minutes to install, plug and play as described in the numerous threads discussing it. I wish I would have done it sooner. Luckily my SR already had the cruise control and steering wheel controls from the factory. Good times!

Where did you purchase the 1/2" block for the rear? Was trying to find one in that size but no go for me.

Wheelers. I believe they list it as a "shim" not a "block".

Cleaned it up with alcohol, blue tape around area, cheap painters plastic sheet & tape around that. Rattle can first layer somewhat thin, two more good layers.

Its been awhile since I did that, but I believe I removed the tape fairy quickly after the third coat. Seems like it tears the edges once it’s dry trying to pull off the tape. I might have used a razor knife to score the taped edge before removing.

Have my utility package truck on order but it’s not here yet. I have a question for those who have one. People often chrome delete the interior and I plan to as well. The usual suspects are the vent rings, door handles, shift collar, climate knobs, and cup holder trim. It’s hard to tell from pictures but it seems like some of this is already not chrome on the SR utility.

Can you tell me which of these is and is not chrome? Thanks.
