Okay so I've decided on the options that I want for the shell... but I'm having a hard time deciding between V and CX series shells.

I think I'm leaning towards the CX but I'm not entirely sure I have the right one. Do I have these two labeled correctly?

BTW, found both pictures in the GOOGLE. Thanks to the owners!

You have them correct. I have a CX, and bought it over the V because it comes down and covers the bed rails.

I went with a CX also. Beside going over the bed rails it only has the center handle. Pain in the ass to have to unlock two handles. Also the one handle is more secure. Steel bar moves into slots on both sides. Dual handle locks are just two tabs that rotate. Kind of like the latches on the bed cubbies.

X 2 ^ I had the same dilemma when buying mine and decided on the C X for that exact reason . It just looks better on owe trucks.

Can anyone with a CX on a longbed hook it up with some quick measurements? I'm looking for length and width of the roof. I want to start planning for a roof rack and want to match the footprint of the roof on the shell.

That's just an option. My CX has dual knobs in the back window.
