Im a moron because i do my own oil changes and like it to be as easy as possible? Who deams whats right side up for an oil filter? I changed the oil on a 2nd gen taco 2 weeks ago, didnt make a mess at all. I change the oil on subarus all the time which are even more "upside down" and create 0 mess. I know whats in a metal one, and it's easier to spin off a metal one with the filter in it and spin a new one on than replace the filter in a canister and less messy since you think a metal filter is messy.

I saw swap in a bridgeported 13b and make a modern repu. Seriously thread? Wth. 30k for truck, 6k for crate ls, another 4k in fab and install and you still gonna have a hacked up truck with no warranty and a gauge pod taped to your steering column. Why on earth? Probably be more practical and cheaper to install a 2nd 3.5 in the bed of the truck. Then u almost running a supercar setup with mid-ish engine v12 right? Or a couple prius electric motors on the front wheels and it can be a nsx truck

Ive never seen someone defend a canister filter lol. If it had a metal one and i said canisters were better u would defend the metal one because its whats on your truck. Its old technology on a new vehicle simply because its more eco friendly and thats it.

How about a BBC with a 14-71 in a third gen?

How about a Cat C12 for all those goobers bent on a diesel mid-size truck?

Forget the c16, cat doesnt wanna do over the road engines anymore. Grow balls and make a cummins isx fit. Like this ford did. Totally practical for a mini truck.

so what happens when you add boost to more displacement engines... lmao trust me I have friends with 1500hp corvette, 1400hp supra, ugr 2r Lambo making around 2000. don't see a 4cyc honda making that power safely. hints the phrase no replacement for displacement...

No it didn't I'm fully aware you can add a turbo, Procharger, Whipple etc to a engine and make more power.... but if you really want more power spend the extra and do it right... buy once cry once. trust me no one ever swapped a ls motor with a turbo in a car and said "dam I should have kept my v6 with turbo" EVER

ls motor and tranny 3000 bucks plus harness and various stuff another 1000 so about 4k or so. for 375 or so hp vs TRD supercharger for 4500 to make low 300s. I've also never heard a cool sounding v6 with a big cam lope lol

My stock bottom end, naturally aspirated LS only makes 575hp. But hey what don't know, 300hp v6 ftw

And they still make sub-300hp. The turbo 3.8 was junk no matter what sense of nostalgia you have

    EDIT: sub-250hp to be exact
