for you guys with experience doing the lift installs... how long do you think it will take to knock out an entire truck? i've never been to a mod day and i'm wondering if there will be enough time in a day since there seems to be multiple people who want to work on their trucks and limited amounts of tools, space, etc...

If both ends of the truck can be put on stands and people work on the front and rear at the same time I think it could be done in 2-3 hrs per truck. I've only worked on one end of a vehicle at a time so I don't know if its safe to get all 4 corners on stands. If thats not a good idea I'm sure we could have more than one truck going at a time.

    Lol a mod assembly line?

yours would be the focus and I would put yours in the garage since this all started from your needs. I dont need to touch my truck so I can help you the full time

for basically coilovers and a rear AAL/shims, i would say half a day ( 6 hours at most).

if someone thinks otherwise chime in, but form the others I have done in the past, that is plenty of time

I would rather do front and rear seperately, especially if there will be any tugging going on...

I don't have any plans of doing any mods anytime soon but I'm down to drive up to give a hand and hang out. I'll have to double check to see if I can make it because I think that's the same Saturday as my godson's baptism.

maybe the best thing to do after we nail down a solid day would be to make a list of all members who are coming and plan on doing some work, then we can make sure there are enough resources to make it happen?

i would just hate to have someone pull apart a truck and not have enough time to finish it up and be stranded 2+ hours from where we came. most of you guys know better than me about this kind of thing though, so i'll take everyone's word on what works during mod days and what doesn't.

thanks again for all the help that has been volunteered, this is an awesome community.

Sounds good! :) Let's get a headcount of who can make it on the 7th (seems to be the best date established so far)...

    2. Caduceus! Hopefully I can have my AAL's before then. Anyone know what shocks I should get with them? I want a bit more travel than stock, but I don't offroad super often, or hard... Mainly, I want a shock that'll improve the ride that the AAL plans to make worse. ideas?

I've got 4 jack stands, some hand tools, and 2 left hands. But a kick ass first aid kit if someone screws up!

Sounds like a good time. I might be able to come. I'll have to clear it with the boss first... err, I mean wife...
I'm not too mechanically inclined beyond doing the occasional oil change and brake job or leaf spring change on my old wrangler but I could help out wherever I was needed.
There have been a few threads lately about setting up meets in the VA area but so far I haven't seen any definite dates.

I'd say Bilstein 5100's would be a good pick, good travel and a nice ride from what I've heard.

    sure.

I look forward to checking out your bumper. it is on my future list, but its a ways down that list

my blower has about 25K on it, so it is plenty worn in.

Reminds me, I have a 2.85" pulley in my glove box

Can anyone weld an O2 sensor bung onto one of my pipes? I have a PLX SM-AFR module thats waiting to be installed.

That, or is anyone selling the pipe on the passenger side that bolts up to the header? I think its the pipe with the passenger side rearward cat.

Itd be great if I could get the bung welded on during the mod day, but if I can get my hands on a spare pipe so I can just bring that to a muffler shop instead of taking my whole truck I'd be willing to buy it!
