I'm running just the single stick on my conversion. You have 2lo, 4hi, N and 4lo with just the single stick also. The twin sticks have a smaller footprint than the single J shift pattern, which would be nice but I'm happy with how mine turned out.

allpro long travel, shackle flip with ome dakars, cruisin offroad bumpers and sliders, 4.88 gears with arb's front and rear, budbuilt skids.
He was running a j shifter, now he is running twins. Essentially yes its just for 2lo and true neutral.

Damn lembowski how did you get the j stick to fit in the consel and still have 4lo? I tried forever and couldn't make it work, I thought it had too much throw side to side.

I guess I should post the new edition up

Billy outdid himself on this. it sits a little high but looks good like that. Painting it tomorrow and it should be on.

Took a lot of trial and error. Yes 4lo goes in fine, if the throw was an inch longer that wouldn't be the case lol. We had a days worth of different lengths/angles of the flat stock coming off the shifter. When in 2hi the auto shift just barely clears the TC coming out of park giving the maximum amount of room to swing into 4lo.

Looks really good. I am going to start picking up parts soon for my 4wd conversion. I have pretty much everything lined up, just need a transfer case.

Thanks! I have been checking eBay but I'm in no rush just yet. I would like to get it done in the fall or early winter.

That's a good deal. I'm getting the front diff, cv axles, 4x4 spindles, hardware and wiring, basically everything I will need for the front end for $600, and an A750F (33k miles), front driveshaft, and crossmember for $500

Hell yea. It's a good hook up from some friends. Might be getting an Elocker rear axle with Nitro 4.56's for $700. I'm going to have a TRD Sport Prerunner Off Road 4x4 :D. I'll have to regear the front to match, and maybe put the 8.4 in my 4runner.

Ya thoes prices are the steal, and $900 for my tranny with friend discount lol and no Dshaft or crossmember

Defiantly do 4.56's they run pretty nice on highway with 35's and really there not that hard to fit.

I have to say too I'm in love with your runner, I want that exactly, 1st gen red with softtopper, dual cases I'd prob run links but exact look will be my next rig unless I get tired of spending money or sas this thing :p

Thanks. I would love to link my runner, but leaves are simple and work for now. Maybe one day.

My front diff was from Wyatt and had 4.56 in it so I had to regear my rear to match. My entire conversion was right at $4000 installed ($4800 with the regear). I was happy with that price, and the shop that did the work gave me their price on most of the parts I didn't gather on my own.

Loving the 4.56 with my 295/75-16's, but I have some 315/75-16's waiting to go on.

Thanks for that info lembowski. I feel I will have a lot less invested in this swap, mainly from doing it myself (with a couple member's help), but also from great people hooking me up. I could have had an ARB front diff, but turned it down because I don't really need it and can use that $$$ elsewhere.

I'm thinking about 295's with 4.56 gears, because I tow. That extra gearing will help. My taco won't be a hardcore wheeler, that's what my 4runner is for.

Yeah you will be at $1100 with what you mention above. Add in the work needed for a crossmember if you can't do it yourself ($150 to $300), Drive shaft work ($250), all new fluids and assorted nuts/bolts/seals make sure you flush the tranny mine needed it done twice ($250 to $400), transfer case ($350 to $600), rear elocker ($700), front gears ($300 to $900). I would guess if you are doing it yourself and change out the rear you would be around $3000+ into it.
