Forgive my wiki searching and if it's wrong...I was browsing around about the taco engine (2gr-fks) and saw quite a few vehicles, two being Toyota, with superchargers on variants of this engine. Seems the most boosted ones are the 2gr-fe, which from what I can tell doesn't have direct injection so I could see the intake manifold being different. But there is also a sc'd yota (Mark X +M). The main difference between the fse and fks is vvtiw on intake for Atkinson.

The question is, do they all share the same intake manifold bolt pattern, or if the fks and fse do? If I found a used sc from one of these for a decent price would it bolt on to the intake? I don't know what injectors or tune they are running but I would be changing those for any fi, even a stock s/c swap over.

Mostly just curious as to how similar these engine variants really are.

I believe OV tune tried a couple to see if they would bolt up. They didn't.

There are numerous s/c and turbo options available for our tacoma's now, including that one...But I'm just investigating another potential one, maaaaaaybe cheaper, maybe not, gotta get more data first. Rebuilding a used one doesn't worry me either, well as long as it is serviceable, but I wouldn't think anyone would want a s/c that isn't.

Well dang, might have to shoot them an email then. Thanks
