I suggest the site have some type of vendor rating system, similar to other commercial websites.

Based on my past vendor experience, I think this would be a good site feature. With all the vendors on Tacoma World, and potential customer base, I see a rating system that follows the vendor around a good thing.

Not all bad or good reviews for that matter get posted. Some can't be bothered, or don't want to get involved with a flame war once trolls drop in their 2 cents. And like all posts, they end up at the bottom of the pile never seen. And lets face it, not everyone on TW likes to search.

But a quick couple of lines on what went right or wrong and a 2 out of 5 stars, might be the way to go.

A vendor may eventually toss out the apology, but still not feel the need to correct the mistake, using the old... "we'll do better next time". But with a consistent and always visible rating listed under their name, they would be more inclined to carry out proper business practices and ensure the best customer experience and service every time, or loose the next sale based on their 2 of 5 rating based on 1000 customer reviews.

    You get the idea.

I'm not sure if you can even work this into this or the beta site. But if possible, it may provide a better customer experience, and force vendors to always put the customer first, and back up promises.
