I’m using these now and seems to work well. We haven’t gotten above 60F* so I’m afraid when it gets to be summer it might put out TOO much voltage.

Hey guys! read through almost all of the posts and couldn't find if anyone has had experience with using any of these numbers with

    https://www.genesisoffroad.com/gen3-tacoma-dual-battery-kit

    I have dual Odyssey Group 34 PC-1500.

I am wondering how I should adjust the numbers for the dual battery setup. As well as if I should adjust anything to compensate for the isolation systems of the battery kit.

Need some help. Getting check charging system error at idle in drive while having electrical loads active. Voltage drops below 13v.

here’s a video showing the issue.
    https://youtu.be/T6Bz3OMhE0g

basically while at idle with foot on the brake and electrical loads active, head lights, puddle, heater, seat warmers, etc. my voltage drops below 12v. If I put it in park and engine surges up to around 650rpm the voltage comes back to 14.5~14.6v. Any ideas what settings I should play with to help?

As soon as I’m driving around I’m constant around 14.5~14.6v it’s just at idle In drive with loads on.

here’s my current settings truck is a 2019 running 2.0F 91 5.29 33” tune with these settings tweaked for charging. 04b33

Use the settings @uploadadventure is using on his 2019. @Chadr7858 might be as well

I’ve pm’d @uploadadventure and as far as we can tell my settings are the same as his. He’s who helped me with my initial tune tweak and sent me screenshots of his settings I’ve copied.

    Here’s my default values
    upload_2021-3-16_7-19-9.jpg

And the settings I copied bumped down to 94. Started at this. Went to all 95’s from 96 in fields 30-168. then to all 94’s in fields 30-168 from 96’s to dial it in.

Is 650 the default idle or did you adjust that?

what if you adjust it up a bit? Seems like there just isn’t enough rpm for the power output since it’s working fine when driving.

u talking about my idle rpm? I haven’t touched anything tune related other than these agm settings and gear lock settings. I’ll double check my rpm after work to get an exact idle speed in drive.

should be whatever 2.0f 91oct 33” 5.29 non thx is.

You could try bumping up each phase duty one at a time to see if one controls the output for idle while in drive.

That's kinda what i was thinking, that one of them maybe controls that specific area and needs to be turned up.

It looks like you bumped them all up. All i did was skip phase duty 1, then +20 to the rest of the stock values (not to exceed the 102.3 number)

We need the alternator output voltage cheat sheet for phase duties! :D

I am still running just updated values to the first table and my voltage is extremely consistent with no issues for all the lights and electrical I’m running. I still don’t believe changing the stock curve of those other values is a good idea...just saying (so is my multimeter)

looks like i did not touch my "altenator constant phase duty minimum" maybe i should bump this up from stock at 67.8437 to 87.8437? see if that does it? any thoughts on this map value.

Give it a shot and monitor. Worst case, you flash back to a previous tune.

I just got an AGM and changed the alternator values to ones around the other 2017 04B04 ones here. Unfortunately my multimeter crapped out and I’m waiting for a replacement. I do have an OBD reader and it has all sorts of various voltage readings that won’t help much until I know what’s going on at the battery. It does have an alternator output duty ratio reading that may be helpful.

Thanks for all the leg work on this. My battery guy is mostly in the boating world and is very interested in seeing what happens. I think he was very skeptical.

Run the vf data logger and add the PID for control module voltage. That’ll show you what voltage the ECU is seeing.

I can add more alternator settings if you guys need even finer voltage control.
