I'd love to be tune testing, but that's a no go. I'll just watch in here

Well I disabled firewalls and real time protection, opened vftuner and clicked the flash tool. Put the vehicle in the on position. Plugged the cable in, and hit flashit. Selected the file and it always seems to generate this error. I searched the forum and found that someone said they disconnected the battery then tried again and it worked. Not for me. If anyone has a suggestion I'm all ears. I'm sure I fucked something up somewhere

I know this probably sounds dumb but make sure the A/C, radio, and all lights are off. Not sure if that is what's causing it, but worth a shot if that stuff isn't already off just in case the battery voltage is dropping.

Sometimes clearing dtc then turning off then trying again will work

Heading out to try that now. Really hoping it works.

Nope didn't work. Took a little longer to get to the error but still failed.
Once I clear DTC it can make it to about 40% complete then fails

The DTC read and cleared successfully so still unsure what the issue could be.

OMG I got it to work.
I was plugged into a USB 3 port when I was having issues. I changed the virtual machine USB controller settings and enable the compatibility to USB 3.1. that is what ultimately made it so that it would go to 50ish percent before it would fail. Then I realized I had a non-USB 3.0 port on the computer and when I switched it to that it was successful.

I recently updated from 4B13 to 4B14 SFOB 2.0 and love it. I became used to shifting and driving with the 4B13 without any issues but knew there could be major improvements. after tune I noticed a HUGE improvement. Tip in throttle response was great and smooth through the RPM range, pulling strong past 6k. this also made shifting much smoother as well. cruising at highway speeds feathering the throttle didn't cause what I would refer to as "Bucking/Lashing" of the drive line like I felt on 4B13. it was like driving a different truck. I also enjoy chirping the tires in 2nd gear. Thanks a lot to the TW community especially OVT!:burnrubber:

Has Mat said anything about what that might be, over and above limp mode mitigation?

I think he only talked about what he saw from a RAM dump? At the time, he said all the tables were the same.

It sure felt different to me?

Not doubting, but if there are other differences it would be cool to see them explained in detail!
