Sorry to be a bother but would anyone have the link to the 2.0 tune page that was sent to us in an email. All of my emails from ov tune where deleted and was wanting to flash the eco tune for a long trip. Thanks in advance.

Anyone else have an issue with vftuner taking a long time to load, or not load at all?

Gotcha. It worked fine yesterday, yet today it's being a pain in the ass. I wish I would have kept windows 7, even if it did become unsupported.

Win 10 seems pretty good all around, esp dark mode. In the end, the vF long boot is a good thing. Never be in a rush to flash. :D

I hear ya. I guess it doesn't help that the tuning laptop is ancient! Might be time soon to pony up for a new one.

I know that feeling. My original flash computer took 10min to boot and launch FM. It gave me time to get my head straight, esp when I was flashing a TSB. No brickage!

The new computer was an amazing surprise and much smaller than that 15.4in widescreen laptop.

The way i understand it, short intake is ideal at high rpm, long intake is ideal at low rpm. So there wouldn’t be a good or bad way to move it, but an ideal rpm value for the transition. I don’t think its anything to do with say an efficiency to power toggle.

You are corrected and I had the default setting wrong. It looks like it would be closed (long) at engine off / low rpm. I assumed that open was the long tract.

Like you said, maybe it is that opening later is what helps? I know that @RedBeard1 had some good info on this. Possibly keeping it closed in that low RPM / high load region is where the benefit is at?

Here's is what is noted in the Tacoma Engine pdf:

Good stuff. You’d probably need a real dyno to really dial that in for your truck, then, finding when the torque gains drop off by opening later. Most of us will run some variant of 2.0, I’d bet OVTune already has it in a pretty good place.

Yes. That was one of the things that he said that he tweaked for 2.0 after he finished his dyno installation.

The one problem there is that typically a dyno shop is only going to tune at WOT. All of the OVT fun is not at the top of the HP / TQ curves, but in the meat of it also, at part throttle. I think that is where this subject was headed?

on the dyno the best place for ACIS activation was around 3400 rpm.
activating it later than 3700 creates a large drop in torque.
activating it below 3000 rpm will bog.

There is a "sweet spot" range from 3300-3600 rpm.

however, no matter where it activates there is a momentary torque dip

What are the two RPM settings for, in VF ref ACIS?

There seems to be a low and a high, and then some weird table with a single cell in it!!??
