I think that’s what @inksin was trying but unsuccessfully.

It would work, you just need to make sure the Fn keys are disabled. There should be a way to do it, or use Fn+Shift+8.

I’ll go down the rabbit hole when 2.0 for 04A61 drops in VF.

I tried shift +8, and didn't work, then tried with the number pad and it worked. Not sure about the Fn stuff though.

Is there a simple plug and play version for a 2016 with a manual transmission.

I really enjoyed the cold start stumble file (except the stumble). My favorite thing about the tune was the linear tq/hp curve and the absence of the 3,000 rpm VVT kick in.

Is there a way with the Vft files to adjust this value/behavior? Can it be set up different for 1-4 and 5-6 gear for ATs?

Where do I find this 1.051 87 performance w/ gear lock tune? Do I just need to use flash manager instead of VFTuner?

If you have Flash Manager, then yes, you can grab it from there.

For the record, Mat had stated that 1.05.1 was only for people with certain issues. I can't remember what they were, you'd probably have to search for his comments about it in the dev thread. If you're not experiencing whatever those issues were, then run 1.05

I'm just itching for the performance tune.... I can fix the dead pedal with VFTuner on the 2.0. I'm however, NOT confident enough in adjusting the shift points for a more gear lock type set up. I suppose I can just hand tight for tow mode, sounds like that's the performance map switching I'm really excited about. Press ECT and BAM. All power all the time.

how do you even flash with this? Plug in OBD2 and click download?

For the record. My truck had 04B02. I updated to 04B04. Wow! Big improvement. The I did the 2.0 via VFTuner and the P5F files. Now I'm on the .VFT edition of 2.0 and have my throttle tweaked so it's kinda like having a pedal commander. Its no longer a dead lever of empty hopes, but makes the truck GO when depressed. Now my real expectations are geared towards getting the most HP and Torque out of the old girl that I possibly can w/o forced induction or a regear. I'm assuming waiting for the Performance edition of .VFT is the easiest solution? So far my limited experience with OVTune has been nothing but pleasant improvements. Just trying to best describe my limited experience and future expectations. I've never used flash manager. 2.0 is the ONLY tune I've ever ran other than stock, and Techstream update from 02 to 04. Any and all input on what I can or should expect very welcome.

I can't see the image, it's not attached properly, but if you go into Flash Manager, you download the tune you wish to run, then go to the row of drop downs at the top and I can't remember what they say, but there will be one that gives you the option to open p5f utility. Open that up and then flash the tune

I adjusted my shift points and posted them up earlier in the thread. You can find them if you search my posts. I’ve got nearly 800 miles on the truck with those shift points no problems, have only done some minor tweaks. Keep your primary shift points below the stock ECT shift points and you can’t really do any harm imo.

Actually the 1.05 maps can be worth it. I have a friend who runs the gearlock 1.05 because he uses that feature and has a heavy af pig and 2.0 base didn't have enough oomph for him.

Or at least he used to run it, he's got the Mag-charger in now.
That version may not have the clear values buttons because it's an old version. Newest version is 1.3.0

You'll have to purge local data, update, install all drivers and software, whatever the option is. Can't remember word for word. That should get you updated though
