Actually gearlock is not a performance tune. Mat has said though that when those options for 2.0 drop, you can combine them with vF

    FO maps are for MT's

Is it normal for flash manager to say not responding quite often....?

    So doe
So does this 1.05 performance tune actually have more power than the 2.0? Or is it all a matter of throttle sensitivity? A.k.a. placebo

It's probably allocation of power and smoothness. 1.05 feels raw and strong because it isn't as smooth. 2.0 may feel like "less" to some people because of how smooth it is

I think when we get the 2.0 AT performance map released it will have the power of 1.05 performance, and all the smoothness of 2.0 base.

when trying to do a smooth, gradual acceleration the shift points are definitely a mess compared to 2.0. does this get better with miles or should I go back to 2.0 and just tweak my throttle with VF tuner?

This is exactly what I'm hoping for. I LOVED 1.05Performance on 93 Octane but like you said the smoothness wasn't there.

I'm guessing it doesn't smooth out much with miles either?

No lol it just had a ridiculous tip in and throttle curve for a stock truck

I may be going against grain when I say this but I've been messing with the stock tune as well as the several variations of 04B04 Premium 2.0 on VFtuner right now and personally I see a noticeable difference on the butt dyno up to 3500 RPM between the many tunes and stock. I eliminated the bias about it 'appearing' smoother by not running it above the VTech boost at 3600+ and to me stock feels as if it pulls much better and is actually slightly less jerky in the first half of the rev range. I dove in to the 2.0 files and found that the injector split % has been modified around full load from 2800-3600 RPM. I am by no means even remotely close to understanding tuning this is just what has jumped out to me as the possible culprit while digging through everything? I just want to share my findings in the hopes that someone more knowledgeable or OVTune could help educate us on our new tools. Once its above 3600 it takes off like a missile compared to previous tunes and I love every bit of it, just hoping I can find some way to flatten out that jump like some of the older tunes.

On another note I've been messing with the throttle sensitivity and discovered that the per gear table descriptions seem backwards. What I mean by that is the tables labeled 'Throttle Limit Normal Gear' actually modifies your ECT throttle and the tables labeled 'Throttle Limit S Gear' modify your non-ECT peddle sensitivity. Not sure if this happens for anyone else but this 100% happens to me after several days of toying with it.

After having tried the 1.05 87 performance, I must say, although the throttle is fun, 2.0 is far superior. I'll continue to dick with the mapping, to see if I can get the performance feel with the 2.0 smoothness.

Is there anywhere else’s I can get the Tactrix cable? OVTune website says the software package with the cable is sold out.

Throttle limit normal gear tables for sure modify normal D mode driving, without ect pressed, for ecu 04A61. It has been unclear to me if they also modify throttle when ect is pressed. I don’t have a use for ect anymore so i haven’t experimented much there.

Screenshot_20200907-180805.jpg So out of you experienced users, what's a good, inexpensive laptop to get as a dedicated tuner computer? Small, reliable, and has the right components to get the job done

    Something like this work?
