    He said he " doesn't work " .... ? But it worked for me .... ?

Finally got around to installing vf after sitting on it since it was first released. The instructions page in my reg email (https://ovtune.s3.us-east-2.amazonaws.com/vForest+Tuner+Instructions.pdf) doesn't work.

Can someone tell me the process for unlocking my ECU?

I wasn't sure if the site points to someplace different than was in the email? The link text is different.

Right, the tune packs. I think I get that for "free" as I was one of the originals from back in the 1.03 days.

Yep. You just need to send a message to OVT saying what ECU ID that you want in the Tune Pack.

Does anyone off hand know if there is a difference between 35” tire tune and 33” tire tune?

    Other than tire size?

Just changing the "Tire Size" field, literally that simple. Just be aware it's measured in Radii (not diameter) so if you're inputting values for your specific vehicle, don't forget to divide by 2!

That all being said, in theory, you should just have to change two fields (Front Diff and Rear Diff) when you re-gear, but after running the same tune from before my re-gear on 5.29s just changing those two fields, I'm tempted to play with some of the shift points as well, since I don't think everything will translate perfectly with a change that big.

Installed the mild and wild from @Mooseditty17 last night. I’m happy as the truck now has smooth acceleration verse the 2.0 file where the power seem to be delayed.

I changed the ratio to 4.88 gears and I’m running 33s with a cap/prinsu rack, sliders, dometic fridge and few other things adding weight. I’m going to run this for awhile but totally happy right now until I get the SC in the future.

Hey PapaRee, would I be able to use your tune (by Mooseditty17) with 04B81? I know its made specifically for 04A61. I’m new to VFTune and just got my truck tuned for the first time to 04B81_Reg_Stock.vft on my 2020 OR AT Tacoma (stock tires/gears) as a start and want to gradually learn to play around with this software. Any pointers/advice is greatly appreciated.

You can’t load our tunes, since you’re on a different ECU. If I were you, I’d make the changes to your file in Vftuner (by comparing files). Or pay someone to do it.
For me, it would take buying credits ($75) to open another ECU, then getting a .vft file to edit.
Pm me if you need my help.

i did not knew what Thx stood for at the time tuning so played it safe and flashed it with the vft file for the time being and go from there. Once I found out reading 10 pgs ago that it meant enhanced throttle response, I’m definitely going to flash it to the 04B81_Reg_Stock_Thx file today! I wouldnt need to purchase additional credits to download this file right? Thanks for the heads up bud!

correct. Since you already unlocked 04B81, all the files you had to choose from before are still available.

A few pages back I confirmed what to files abbreviations meant.

like you, I’ll eventually get a “Mild n Wild” by Mooseditty, but currently for our ECU that’s not available.

Thanks for your input PapaRee. Im not at that level but will need to learn how to make changes to the file. I’ll flash it to the stock regular thx for the meantime. Btw, Arkansas should have beaten LSU! Lol good game.

I havent been to this page in a long time I'm an original OVtune customer and upgraded to VFtune. Its probably been asked and answered a bunch but the search is failing me and I'm tired. So here are my 2 simple and probably overly asked questions
    1. Is the 04b04 VFTune tune pack released?
    2. What do I need to do to get it?

I'm probably not even on the right version of software since I havent been in this thread for close to 6 months at this point.
