I tried incognito but no luck still getting version 1.2.7.7. I believe the version 1.2.7.8 was taking down because off errors. That's why we see 1.2.7.7

So - hope someone can get me a little guidance so I can update the ECU with my new gears.

Its been a little bit since I have done this, so forgive my vaguer'y on the description below.

I was originally a Flash Tuner, then upgraded to the Vf when that came out. I am not comfortable enough with Vf to do anything just yet, but I would like to update my tune to reflect my newly installed gears. I recall getting a download, or file, something a while back that allowed me to input Yr, Make, Gas, Tire Size.. and then flash and it was at that time I noticed in that file or option menu different options for gears (4.88/5.29).

Any insights on how to re-flash the truck, keeping my current tune set up because I like it so far, add the new gear ratio?

    Any advice/suggestions/guidance helps, thanks

You have two options. Request the tune pack that matches the ecu id if your truck and flash a preset tune that comes in the pack. It’ll have several files just select the tune that matches the gear set you’ve upgraded to and see if you like it.

Other option would be flash a p5f file that you have stored away. If you no longer have it, it’s not available for download any longer and you’d have to private message someone who may still have it on their personal computer and then flash it through flash manager.

Thanks! Can I use credits for tune packs? I have 1 credit now because I downloaded the stock file earlier tonight thinking I needed to because those were the files on my computer.

Email ovtune at zendesk, and request the tunepack for your specific ecu id.

I just came back after being away for six months. Is there an updated list of available Tune Packs posted somewhere? (I'm 04B30)

You should apply the TSB to your truck to update to 04b33 and get that tune pack.

Hey I figure since this thread is active and seems to be filled with knowledgeable people i was hoping to clear a few things up. I want to buy vf tuner and do my truck but I'm confused as to how to get maps? I see where ov tune isn't making maps anymore but third party people are? Is this correct? I see on their site I can buy the vf tuner software and cable and then I found tune pack I believe was 350...so I just buy these 2 things for ~760 and then I have access to tune files which I can upload on truck? I'm ready to pull the trigger but don't want to spend 800 bucks without knowing exactly what I'm buying. I don't have interest im making my own maps I just wanna take an existing map that is good and upload it to truck.

Software + cable + tacoma tune pack = everything you need for tuning + pre made maps and you don't have to make your own.

    for now, yes.

But if you want to tune other trucks with pre made tunes from us, you must *also* purchase tune packs for those ECUs.

Other ECU's, if they are the same as yours, you are good.

Update: alright, so I've got 04B33 up and running on the truck. What is the latest and greatest process for securing the B33 tune pack so that I can get back to my usual tunage? Is there a feature in vfTuner to download them directly, or do I have to do a few email exchanges with @OVTune to get up and running again?

appreciate the heads-up on the TSB btw!
