If your a 3rd gen auto with 35’s, i think the 5.29’s would benefit more then the 4.88’s your currently running. Im sure your mpg would shoot up.

That’s not what my concern is. I put the 4.88s before 5.29s ever got released and I’m perfectly happy with my setup and MPG. My original post was looking for insight into why I lost MPG when going from 35s to 32s using the same tune I’m on now (adjusted to 32s).

Man after playing with all these settings I give Mat props... You adjust one little thing and it changes so much of how the truck drives and behaves. No wonder it takes a minute for updates and new maps he puts out. And to get them as good as the 2.0 maps are has to be so much work. Like the down shift clunk you think ok it’s better then you get a different noise or clunk when you Accelerate in that area the clunk started in. Most the work is trial and error!!

Sorry for noob question, but a recent post about dealers offering lifetime warranties in another thread made me think of something. Is it possible, perhaps if @OVTune found a way, to set a mileage notification in the ECU so that it throws a check engine warning? In fact, since the ECU code is being (re)written by vftuner, then why not add an extra warning code? Then you can set a specific mileage to trigger that code.

Again, please don't beat me up if this is ridiculous. Just thinking that it would be very useful for a lot of things, as a reminder to check certain mods, for example, or (in this case) to remember to bring your truck in to the dealer for the required 75k mile inspection to be able to maintain that special warranty, etc.

You could just use the maintenance reminders in the head unit?

My ecu is 04B81 and this is probably a dumb question but if I had to get tunes for that specific ecu, how does the tunes that have been modified by the knowledgeable members work? Also, I noticed in the 1.2.7.8 stock tunes there is 04B90 and 04B91. Do I or should I have my ecu upgraded to that by the dealer or does it not matter? Just trying to get my head wrapped around something I know very little about.

04B90 / 04B91 are for the 2020 MT Tacos. You cannot flash those. 04B81 is the latest known. Any future TSB updates for your 2020 AT will be 04B8x, like 04B82, and on.

@Mooseditty17 and @PapaRee will have to answer your about the posted tunes.
