vF Tuner for the 3.5L Tacoma

As long as Performance Tunes come I see no reason to edit (presuming they cover Gearing, Tires, GL, Map Switching, Octane) so for me and my simple intention I see no ill affects. Back to the sidelines until then. Thanks for the work and support!

 

didn't you buy a supercharger? we won't be providing any tunes for the superchargers

 

4 credits per vehicle? That blows. I figured maybe 1 credit.

Any plans to honor a list of VIN's some of us have already tuned? Would hate to have to pay for a vehicle I've already tuned previously. If that's what you meant by "those with master keys" then disregard.

And tune packs are different prices, how will credits work exactly?

yes I did - have to wait until the weather is up just a tad before I go do the install in the garage (not heated).

Hope the change in software (flash manager) will not be a problem for my upcoming Magnuson SC flash or revisions afterwards which use your .vft flash manager??

I will still use my .vFT software to tune my daughters' and brothers' 04B04 ECU.

EDIT: I am not the Unicorn. Waiting for conformation that Magnuson .vft flash is somehow considered fully in this understandable change.

 

@OVTune since you're here, has the 04B25 tune pack been completed? I still haven't received it if so.

 

for people who ordered credits and have VINs to register we will honor them. (to a limit. I'm not going to register 100 VINs if you didn't purchase credits)
We will also credit everyone so that they don't have to purchase anything to register their own.


and right now $75 buys you 4 credits, but after the change over $75 buys you *8* credits.

For people who *previously* ordered credits, you will get extras.

What about those of us that preordered the WiFlash and got 12 credits but still haven’t received the WiFlash product? If we still have credits we haven’t cashed in, will they be diluted by the new system? If I have 4 credits I haven’t used to unlock new ECU’s, would it be increased to 8?

Where does the premium OV tune add hp/torque in the power band?

 

At WOT, everywhere. Peak is up about 20hp/tq. In the lower revs, it is up about 50ft-lb.

 

@OVTune: Can we unlock VINs by entering them into the software ahead of time? When tuning I do not necessarily have a internet connection to contact the credit server.

The following dynos are from the 1.05 performance tune. He has not released the 2.0 performance tune yet. I tried the 2.0 tune for a while but went back to the 1.05 93 octane performance tune because it has so much more torque and power especially in the mid range.

So, to ensure total accuracy with tuning, and dyno accuracy, an indepedent dyno-jet test and tune was performed

Testing result - As tested
peak gain / difference of 61 ft lbs @ 4100 RPM
Peak gain / difference of 47 HP @ 4100 RPM
Peak Gain @ 6000 RPM of 17 HP
