    I am going to have to give this a try as my first try at changing anything . If it goes well I may become hooked , but it is intimidating to me . From a google search I found I need to change the ETC up shift and down shift tables , and just adjust the gear I want to the lowest number in the table for that gear . like 30.xxxx .

    Is there anything wrong with holding out on 1.2.8.1 or whatever until 1.3.0 release? Just not wanting to guinea pig anything and have everything working ok right now.

    1.3.0 is coming soon enough so no need to update if 1.2.8.1 works for you right now.

    BUT if you are on 1.2.9.5 then this update is required

    Question for anyone willing to deal with a noob. I’ve had the flash kit and 2.0 tune for quite a while and just upgraded to the VFtuner and have a few questions. Will I get the same tunes to input that were released for the 2.0? Are credits only used when tuning another ECU? And finally I’ve read a while back about updating 04B30 to 33 through techstream. Anyone have the link how?

    Yes. The 2.0 Tunes are identical between the Flash Kit and vF. vF just uses editable VFT / VFC file formats.


    As of now, credits are needed to Unlock ECU IDs and individual VINs. Credit costs are cut in half.


    Yep. TechStream is the way. The 1st Post of the ECU Update thread is all that you need. See the link below.

    Hey @OVTune or anyone that may know. Would the changes to the system ID verification process (now that it’s not a step) in these newer updates mean that I would be able to use multiple computers with my master key and login? I reg’d my crap laptop at first, but I’d really prefer to move operations to my newer surface pro

    Can someone please give me a knowledgable answer?
    I am having OVtune done this week. I have lil dinky pizza cutter dedicated winters on 16s
    I will be getting the tune for 33" tires.
    I may be driving a week or 2 with the dinky winters before i switch back to 17" rims with my 33" ko2s
    Will this cause any probs or issues or will it drive funny?

    It will be fine. The shift points may be slightly off, but you probably won't even notice.

    Yes , I want normal S mode below 4th gear . In 4th and above I want it to be able to be locked in gears 4, 5 and 6 ,and needing a manual shift from one to another .
    The normal S mode when set to limit the truck in 4th gear , allows the truck to down shift to 3rd when it wants to . This down shifting to 3rd is what I want to eliminate.
    This setup would also eliminate Mat's original gear lock necessary shifting of gears 1 , 2 and 3 every time I have to come to a stop and start up again , enjoying the reason to have an auto transmission in the first place .
    It is hard to fathom unless you have used gear lock when it was available so I hope this makes sense.

    When I think about it, plenty of people go from stock to 33 or 35" tires all the time without touching their ECUs. It's probably not ideal but it'll be fine

    Is the THX recommended if you're running 33s? And does it eat up the possible MPG gains some get with a tune?

    Thats why I said you won't even notice. The difference from stock to tuned is so massive, the other improvements will overshadow any minimal shifting difference with tire size.

    Esmode stops the truck from upshifting he wants to stop the truck from downshifting unless he tells it to
