So, will the TRD PRO have the crawl control map switching or was that eliminated too? It sounds like that would be bad ass!

I don't think that's in the works anymore because too many trucks dont have it.

Emailed? Hmm. Makes sence now. I've been trying to download then through vftuner and keep getting "internal server error".

@Rafael@OVTune @OVTune As far as I understand things, D is 1 map, ECT is 1 map, S mode is 1 map, etc. Are they entirely separate maps or are they button (or S mode) enabled modifiers for the regular D map? Either way, are those different modes also going to be fully accessible with VF too or does modifying the D map also net you changes to the other modes by default? If they are entirely different maps would a user be able to leave D mode unmodified but say bump up the tip in for ECT mode? As another thought, if they are separate maps would using VF enable a user to possibly swap ECT mode to the default D map so they wouldn't have to press ECT every time they want peppiness for spirited driving but then hit the ECT button to put it into the original D mode map?

@OVTune @Rafael@OVTune I still haven't received any info regarding my VFTune purchase. I've 2 different zendesk messages with no response. What gives? Bought a new license and a prepurchase of the VFTune kit. Order # 6301

Yeah, patiently waiting. Havent bothered entering a ticket, im sure he will get to it. There is a lot going on these days.

Ordered mine on the 12th, for reference. I already had the Ovtune kit so just ordered the upgrade to VF tuner.

If I remember right, your ticket gets bumped if you send multiple tickets. If you got the reply email from the order, I'm sure they'll get to you. You checked spam folder as well right?

yeah, I have OVtune added to my address book. I’m just confused because I haven’t heard a peep since 4/17 about the vfTuner... not stressed since I have 1.05 just confused when I see everyone posting about vF stuff

Also cracks me up when I read the thread one day and then it jumps 7 or 8 pages lol

    Hi Rafael,

I skimmed this thread and checked the site - I'm interested in the upgrade to vF Tuner for 2 primary reasons:
    1) I'd like to adjust the throttle map to be totally linear, kind of like an old cable throttle vehicle
    2) I'd like to remove Gearlock

Are these pretty easy items for a beginner to address in vF Tuner, or are these probably not something that the average user could do? Also, if I tune out gear lock but am towing, am I risking overheating my TC due to it locking/unlocking like some people have reported?

    Thanks!

    -Sean

It's kind of silly and pointless in a lot of applications but this is why I am excited for access to the locker in 2 high.

So could there be a way to access 2 Low mode without having to do the 2 Low mod with vf tuner?

After re-reading your post I (and I guess others) misunderstood what you were asking for. At this point Mat does not have control over the 4x4 ECU or the Skid Control ECU that would allow changing the behavior of the locker in these trucks. That's not to say it is impossible, but IMHO it is not likely to happen or even possible.

The locker question has been coming up A LOT lately which got me thinking about other options for getting there. I'll be posting on the locker thread once I review the wiring diagrams and see if I can figure out if what I am thinking will work.

He said it might could happen. Just need the Taco overhaul manual.

Right, but as far as I know that is a long shot. Both the locker and 4x4 are handled by the 4x4 ECU independently of the ECM. The 4x4 ECM also ties into the Skid Control ECU to disable TRAC and ABS. I'm not saying it's impossible, but not very likely. Unless there is documentation of CAN communication and firmware/software that can be read/modified/flashed I just don't see it happening with VF. I would love to be proven wrong though. A software solution would be much nicer.
