it can be quite confusing, considering the person asked the developer and you posted to have him email you at that email.

People seem to be really loose and casual about using OVTune, OVT, etc as they want without permission.

To be clear, there is no such thing as OVT South East if "OVT" is in any relation to OV Tune or VF Tuner.

    Just like SoCal OVTune..

If you guys want to provide services you should make your own business names.

I am not offended. It is just important that people distinguish themselves as their own entity.

But the norm at TW would be to PM someone to discuss. Not to post your email address to discuss. The fact that your email address started with "ovt" certainly wasn't lost on you.

Indeed. The use of email makes it seem highly official and licensed and all that.

You are locked out again? @OVTune

Yeah, I never got unlocked for this new laptop. I am 100% sure of my master key and username verbatim. I thought I had the pwd correct but since it didn't work I am doubting now. I do not mind a reset on the pwd if that is what is the easiest. My VF is down and I am starting to get the shakes from withdrawal. I commented back on the original ticket (#26389) but I am not sure if it is closed.....when you resolve tickets can they send out a notification to the individual that opened it up? Then I would know NOT to reply to it...even if it was an on-going issue. Can Zendesk do that?
 please save me from myself and this new laptop

    @OVTune

Another failed 4runner flash. No brick, but unsuccessful again. Some sort of issue going on there still.

Just like the last one, updated them via TS to 35F51 and the truck starts just fine, no CEL, the truck didn't even fall on its face and die at first like the others, and then when trying to flash a map from the tune pack, nope, doesn't take. Doesn't brick the ecu. Starts and idles fine on the stock updated tune even after the failures. Just doesn't accept the tune. Tried on 1.2.9.9.8

Attempting to flash the stock map doesn't take either while this happens.

Last time this happened with a 5th gen 4runner, the next time the guy and myself both had free time to meet up again was a week later and the flash took successfully on the first attempt. So idk. I'll try again with this guy sometime within the next few days probably but this seems like something that needs addressing if possible, or least some guidelines on how to proceed and why.

I have an update that I will be posting for gen 1 ecus. Some gen1 ECUs require certain timers / time limits on sending messages.

It's an annoying part, if you try with techstream you know it makes you "key off" for 10 seconds then back on to start flashing.

We updating ours so we can consistently skip that "key off" 10 second timer

@OVTune when can we expect other T4R ECU's?

    Thanks.

The timer for the 4runner must be super long because I cycled power a bunch of times, let it idle for over 5 mins at one point, usually had it idling for 30-120 seconds while deciding how else I'd proceed to try to get it to work. Lol in total, probably spent the better part of 15 mins trying all sorts of stuff with idle time and cycling power to try to get it to accept the tune lol
