If you are referring to the primary throttle map with the negative numbers , i don't believe it's negative torque per say.

Looking at it, the max is 87.5.

The max throttle duty cycle seems to be 87.5 as well.

I'm thinking that map functions more as a sensitivity adjustment? More of a how fast will the throttle respond to changes.

Of course I'm not 100% sure on that. But i did set it to -10.75 across the whole thing one time and the truck still accelerated, it was just very slow. I drove all the way to work that way (18 miles at 3 am with no traffic)

Don't do that with traffic, you can't get out of the way quick enough

Your hypothesis (and driving misery as evidence) makes sense to me. The only success I've had with the Primary Throttle Efficiency map is altering the values in the zero or far left column for increased engine braking, and the first few cells in the top row for tip in.
The Acceleration Throttle Request to Airload map I posted above, in conjunction with the Primary Throttle Efficiency Target gear maps have the most direct impact on throttle sensitivity, linearity, and range (pedal resolution if you will).
I've got it dialed now where I don't get too much lunging as you accelerate up through 1-2 like I felt there was with SFOB Premium.
Also, although I have a wider range of pedal movement when maintaining speed on the highway, I can do that much more precisely. Before I'd get a bit of power and then a bump when modulating the throttle on a hill to maintain speed in 6th. Now I can control the torque smoothly.
This makes flat highway cruising less annoying too, as I'd tend to overshoot my desired speed and then have to lift a bit, slow down too much, rinse and repeat.
Yeah, I'm not in cruise very often lol.

SO, how about this map.. I've not seen any noticeable changes by messing with it yet. I've only tried increasing/smoothing the high end torque values of the 600-1200 rpm rows to see if I could gain ANY improved response down low..

    I've never touched that one.

I do think the acceleration throttle request to air load had some kind of gear ratio multiplication to it. Considering at wot 2ndv gear will request over 700 torque but 5th gear barely cracks 250 (per logging)

I'm wandering if that map is the base for the multiplication?

What PID are you monitoring for torque request?

One of the generics. Ovtune said it is not an accurate way to check it, i just use it for generalized idea

Interesting.. that could explain why I can feel all the changes in slope on my Acceleration Throttle Request to Airload map in 2nd, and only maybe one of them in 5th.. I'm just not reaching high enough requested torque. I mean, other than the obvious gear ratio advantage in 2nd.
Obviously the differences in the Primary Throttle Efficiency Target gear maps will skew the butt dyno as well.. for those of us **cough** stuck with stock calibrations lol.
Yes, yes, I did it to myself. M/T ultimate tune pack can't come soon enough!

Nah, I knew what I was doing and understood the updated tune pack would be a while..
Looking forward to trying out map switching, with a file that starts out with decent low end lol.

Did this release ever happen? I just downloaded and installed the latest version on the vF website and still don’t see any 04C21 support.

    Please advise, thanks!

So I just made the switch from p5flash to VFTuner and can't remember if you can convert .p5f files to .vfc/.vft with VFTuner proper (I bet I am SOL with the "lite" version, unfortunately)? I ask because I am looking to try out the new ultimate tune when it drops (if it drops with a catted dump tube compatible file) but want the ability to go back to the 04A61 19800 2.0 EROM p5f tune that I know works (if I encounter CELs and what not). Any clarification would be much appreciated.

You can no longer flash P5F files. Just VFT and VFC.

Contact @OVTune for an updated Tune Pack. The Tune Pack will be updated for Ultimate also.

Thanks @tonered. That makes sense but the tune pack I received for 04A61 does not have any catted/uncatted specific files for flashing. So what your saying is once I flash the truck with a new tune I will never be able to flash a comparable/very similar tune to the 19800 build? I don't throw CELs so that is why I am hesitant to flash anything else.

    You're welcome.

Supposedly there will be an option to help deal with CELs.

We had a couple map edits that we could do, but they didn't work for everyone.

Keep an eye out when the new stuff gets released.

WOW is all I can say after driving 10 miles after loading KDMax with VFTuner software. Originally had a couple of hiccups getting everything working. Big thanks to @tonered , @PapaRee , and @OVTune for getting everything worked out.
