I Think this might lead to actual discussion and good material vs people just attacking mat or asking for tech help I am sad he is gone but it was getting ridiculous here for a moment

what actually went down to him getting banned? i missed that big time

 

If I had to guess, it was ALOT! I’m assuming, by reading what the mods wrote on the banned members page, that they no longer wished to spend time answering questions or resolving disputes from customers of his on this site for whatever reason.

Bans are rarely ever from emotion and primarily are given with small bans for rule violations and work up to higher bans for more repeat infractions. Not saying ovtune ever did anything wrong that violated any rule but with such an extremely massive customer/fan base, I’d imagine traffic behind closed doors (private messages to mods and/or complaints) began to get to be a bit too much. Since tacomaworld is likely (once again, assuming) not making a direct profit from the product sold, it likely was decided it was no longer worth their time.

All in all, I believe it was coming on its own in time but I figured it would be ovtune leaving here on his own beforehand. Even though the ban happened, I’m sure he will continue to do very well and prosperous as his product is a highly valuable and desirable product/service. Only thing different now primarily is all info will be directed completely to his own forum for his own products and services. His name is very well known and will continue to have success and this may end up being a very large relief for him and all good things towards the future.

Honestly, with sooooooo much negativity towards him and even somewhat personal attacks, I can’t believe he didn’t call it quits here well before this ban and I wish him nothing but success in the future. Tacomaworld isn’t going to die nor will ovtune from this departure.
