Got it! I have modified the 'STOCK' VF tune file with the posted settings which is pretty easy. Since I already updated to 2.0 via Pf5 flash, I am trying to not over-write 2.0 with a VF Stock rom. I think I know the answer. I need to wait for 2.0 VF Tune (VFT) format files to drop, then we can adjust those with the 'Alternator' tweak. I went back and read lots of threads to come to this. For now, all we have is 'Stock' files. (Unless I was totally sleeping at the wheel)

 

I did the dongle trade in program, order #6355 and tomorrow will be 2 months to the day. Two tickets and a handful of emails. I'm assuming that sending in my dongle (confirmed receipt) and placing the order on the website is all that's needed? I'm not sure what else I'm supposed to do to get a master key for vfTuner

 

I think you are on the right page and I'm awaiting the same for tweaking in VF

 

Did you get your reg key for P5 already? If so, you have access to flashing with P5 files while we wait for tuned VF files.

 

Correct. That’s what the tune pack is for, so you can modify the tune files / use them as baseline instead of stock tune

 

I got my reg key very quickly. Was really hoping to try vfTune, especially now that people are beginning to tune their own - especially shift points! I have a '16 and flashed to 04B04 as soon as I noticed that's one the first ones released.

 

If you placed your order (free I’m assuming) have you downloaded and installed VF? IIRC, there’s a registration process in the software to get your master key. But don’t hold me to that one. Others with better memories can correct me if needed.

 

I downloaded and installed VF. The registration process asks for the master key. Until I type something there, the Register button doesn't light up.

There aren't any other directions I can find on the process. I'm guessing it's as easy at it seems for everybody else.

 

2 months out, I’d follow up with another ticket. Particularly if you didn’t get automated responses to your emails. That’s all the game I have.

 

Exactly what @Shellshock said. You need the tune pack for 2.0. Then open your tune file and change the alternator configuration. Flash the new tune. Done!

When you mailed in your dongle, did you include your name, etc. inside the package? If not, Mat may not know who sent the dongle. That will require some one-on-one correspondence to clear up.
