I bought the cable from the vf website on 10-11. I’m still waiting for the key to unlock the software. What is the average wait time?

    Compiling the list!
Took me over a month, numerous emails and complaining on forums. Their customer service is beyond horrible!

Do I need to upgrade my vf tuner to the newer version?
I tuned my truck on Nov 1 with the version 1.3.1.3 but I want to try a different tune and saw that a new version was available 1.4.4 and I’m wondering if I should upgrade

It is always best to be on the latest version. More features and better performance and restore functions.

    Hey all
Does anyone have the original tune files 1.05 and 2.0 but in the new vft format?
The p5 files are on the original computer that is no longer in my possession. Reason being is I’d like to compare because pretty much all the new tunes ir been trying have this “slack” feeling in the throttle when I drive from a stop or a rolling stop. Really makes it herky jerky and I’m begin to hate the truck again. Ive also tried to increase the throng 1% across the board on the vf tuner like one user suggested a while ago.

The 1.05 tunes were only in PCM / P5F format. There are only one set of unedited 2.0 tunes in VFT / VFC format with no updates.

Follow the tune edits from this thread as most of them apply to the AT as well:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/vf-tuning-for-manual-transmission-3rd-gens.687939/

Removing the 1st (and reverse) gear torque limits might be what you're looking for.

See the thread. The exact map names are given.

Editing in vF is a lot like using a spreadsheet program. See the end of the vF Installation instructions PDF in the vF Help menu for all the details there.

No. You do the edits on the tunes that you have. Likely, 04B04.
