That is my biggest question. Where do the values represent real values and where are they factors / multipliers.

Hey thanks for the response. I’m glad I’m not the only one who’s heard it.. it makes me slightly nervous even though I generally don’t rev that high on 2.0. I’m currently running a modified version of 04b90 with most edits from this thread and it actually runs great. I may look into retarding the timing just a little bit in that range.

After you posted that i logged a couple of drives and watched the timing.

It seems to follow the low and high knock timing rather than base.

I don't know what that means. I asked but no response yet

I do know that the difference between regular and premium files are changes to the high rpm ranges in all three ignition timing maps

Definitely keep me posted if you figure it out. The premium tunes run smooth and great except at those RPMs. I’d love to resolve it.

I am super bogged down right now. shipping kits, hardware, bouncing back with updating vF Tuner.

The ignition strategy is a bit complex when you go through all tables. I will setup a full ignition diagram in our tuning reference / guide.

Ideally next year (early) we are looking at hiring someone to come on board. Ideally one of you tacoma guys with notable experience using our platform.

This would actually be super helpful since I was tinkering with a stock map for someone on 04B25 and elected to leave all the ignition and fuel cylinder filling tables (and others) alone since idk what I'm doing there

I also left them alone, once confusion sets in I'm out

And let's face it, some of this stuff is useless without a dyno

I'd like to try this, I'm also on B41, but I don't know what to do with the attachment. Can you walk me through the process?

I can't remember from my 2,0 tune on the Auto I had but are those tunes peppier and more powerful? I tuned the stock tune (as that's all that's available to me right now) with much of the tweeks you've all done including the 10% buff in the low end but I still feel like the truck is being held back? Unless that's by design on your part?

I did manage to WoT and felt that the truck was still a bit slow. Example being that I never managed to spin tires at any point aside from taking off from a complete stop (which I avoid, but I figured it would come close at other times)

Yes. The Stock tune will never unleash the bottom end like the OV Tunes will. That is the beautiful part of it all. Being able to cruise around sub-3,500 and have the torque that this motor should have whether part or full throttle. I drive in the 1k to 1,100rpm region quite a bit and am not disappointed.

The stuff that we are editing is just polish on top of the tunes.

For 2.0 AT, they still just have Base. Their world will change with the Perf and Tow tunes in the Final options release.

You just save it then unzip it.

Then open vf flash manager and hit flash it.

When the window opens click on the file you unzipped

Thank you for this. I had a feeling this was the case (and am okay with it! I mean, why else would we still want Mat's 2,0 tunes now that vF is released?)

Like I said earlier, the edits I've made based on suggestions here have made a noticeable difference which has me quite happy for the time being and has improved driveability (though the MT in itself is better than the AT for me anyway. B33 was pretty good and where all the trucks back to 2016 should be as a baseline I feel). That said, I am super excited for the day he gets around to compiling the tune pack for C30 and releasing it :D

    Hey, Folks.

Considering @M1Awolf 's mission with that catted / catless Dump Tubes. Does someone have a link or edit detail to the tunes? I would be happy to update that missing info in the 1st Post.

With more Dump Tubes on the way, some folks might need it?

Thats the one I know about. I assume there is also some other magic that happens inside the ECU

That is only for taking care of the CEL if folks have that problem. OVT spent a lot of time maximizing the output in the maps. I would guess that we don't have access to create a DT tune, as we do not have enough access yet to create the actual difference between the Base and SFOB tunes.

There is a dump tube 04b14 file. Not sure about other ECUs
