The first post edits really do make OVT 2.0 a good bit better.

I was hesitant to change the first gear throttle limiter on all four maps. I did though, and spent the day off road yesterday and my truck preformed better than ever. The edits to first gear limiter are perfect. Seems like it would be a bigger change that it was. It did bring first in line with all other gears though, and that is great.

This is what I'm currently trying to get rid of.

I'm logging some misfires low in the rpm.

I'm also seeing pretty high knock feedback during medium to medium high load between 2 and 3k rpms.

I may have helped my misfires, i drove almost 150 miles yesterday while only logging 1 and i didn't feel it, so that's looking up so far.

I changed the afr target in the lower rpm and load range to 14.5 rather than 14.7- will have to monitor fuel mileage but got 19 with mixed driving yesterday.

Currently I'm still running my ptttg1 map -gives range back to the throttle

I have a different pttt map- lost some engine braking but I'm not sure how

Atrta is increased, as it was throttle limiting me (attempt to mitigate rev hang)

The throttle and ignition efficiency maps are edited to target more throttle and less ignition timing.

And I've pulled a few degrees of timing in the problem areas from the low knock tables. - was seeing feedback up to -7, yesterday max was -5

By the end of the weekend i should have some different maps to share that you can try and see if it helps with some of this.

    Are yours this bad?

They are always at the same load and rpm range. I may have to load up Matt's file and stock to see if they present there. I have been feeling this stuff since i bought the truck, so I'm pretty sure it will be present in all files.

    @OVTune any insight?

@OVTune Just outta curiosity, the 4D ALC table (throttle and ignition). Is the 0.8 lambda table for the Atkinson and the 0.9 lambda table for the Otto cycle?

well its not my edits causing my misfires, it definitely just my truck. I may go and check to make sure all the spark plugs are tight, i know that was an issue for a lot of people.

on my last flash however, the truck did something weird. The radio started rebooting itself the whole time it was flashing. Then after the flash was completed, when i started the truck, the headlight and radar system were "malfunctioned" . I shut the truck back off and turned it back on and everything went back to normal. Its the first time anything weird happened during or after a flash.

Not sure that bad, but I forgot to include misfires for logging so I will have to do that again tonight

I only notice them when transitioning from off throttle to on throttle. and its always a low load/low rpm misfire. I am not constantly watching my phone, but when it happens i feel like i'm running over rumble strips, ill then look and see the number climbing.

If i back off the throttle they will stop.

If i try to accelerate during one of those events, then the truck will buck. In second gear it bucks so hard i have to let off the throttle. In the other gears it just lumps a bit.

Are there any MT guys here that would like to try my edits?

I need you to have - OBD fusion to monitor misfires, KCLV and Knock F/B

Prefer you to have no current misfire issues.

And it cant be @MOC221_ Because he is a sell out

Gonna show you guys how to take the logs from OBD Fusion and use VF Log reader to view them.

First you have to setup the Logger in OBD fusion.

    Under Settings>Logging>Select Items To Log

Deselect anything you dont want (GPS, SPEED, ETC)

Select the PIDs you want (The same ones from your dashboard)

It will log every drive automatically.

To access the logs, click on LOGS>Scroll to FILES

Find the file you want and choose "SHARE"

    Email them to yourself.

Next you need to edit the CSV in excel (if you don't have office you can use the online version for free but it is a little of a pain since you have to open it from there, then save as a copy to your desktop)

Once you open it, delete the top row and shift rows up (the red line) Pic 1

Then rename the top columns to eliminate any spaces. (highlighted yellow) Pic 1

    editobdcsv.jpg

    The result below:

    editedobdcsv.jpg

Now open it in VF with the CTRL+P or File>open>openCSV

    OBDlogVF.jpg

    OBDlogVF2.jpg

Now you can view logs of the stuff that Matt hasn't added to VF tuner yet.

Doing this allowed me to view when and where the misfires are happening. If you notice in that drive (42mins) that i only logged a few. Looking at the logs from the last two days (over 300 miles) i only get misfires at 30% load and 2000-2200 rpm and at idle.

The idle misfires i don't feel, or even care about, and as far as i know either aren't real or are not very important. However, the ones at load i can feel,

I'm pretty sure these are only happening in the early EGR stages (EGR is done through valve timing rather than an EGR valve, I think this is the range in the exhaust valve timing where they are advanced and it starts around 30% load and 2k rpm)

If I stay out of that load range, I get no/minimal misfires, if I cruise in that range (4th gear around 45 mph on a road I travel daily) then I get misfires that just keep counting up, I can hold it there and they just keep going.

I got exactly one misfire at start up / idle that I don't feel either.

I wish I could help you and @MOC221_ with anything here if a unicorn Taco can provide any info.

About the worst thing that I have had is a bit of very short duration knock on the Stock tune using 87 only on our hottest days.

Thanks for the great tips and info though.
