It is also that the Viairs can hit high pressures more quickly than I was expecting.

That said, with tools and supplies purchased, I am probably darn close to the 400P Automatic price.

But, I have needed this stuff for a while and it was fun.

When using the @Shellshock "fill all 4 at once" mod, do all the pressures match on the TPMS display? I can't stand when they're a PSI or 2 of from one another. Any pics of the whole setup with the digital gauge?

I did mine for 2 at once but that’s exactly why I did it - so they match.

I did the two tire option. Yes, though. They do match and fill quickly.

What is the purpose of this mod? If I read correctly, this will just turn on the compressor on for you when you hook it up to your tires and turn off when you disconnect. Is it just to save time going to and from the compressor to manually turn it on and off? I am just a little confused but intrigued.

Does this mod make it turn off after hitting a certain PSI?

Yes. That is exactly it. I am overjoyed with @Shellshock 's deflator / inflator. The Viair gauge and valve stem connector that comes with it is not so good. The problem was that there is no air relief in the deflator / inflator setup like there is with the supplied parts. So yeah, this keeps me from doing suicide sprints when checking all of the fams tires.

Also, when disconnecting the new line, it will just run continuously like stock.

Duuuuuuude tell me more about this wire trickery?! I wonder if @MESO can 3d print a back cap to clean it up some. It's already pretty clean though

I like that......you should build some of these and sell them for us, non-electrical noobs.

    Thanks!

It is a bit messier than I would like. A larger switch cover might contain it all. I may add something to allow the relay to be mounted vertically instead of angled.

It does completely fit in the bag with all the hoses can connectors.

without this, the compressor will just keep compressing. when you have a closed line (detached from tire) thats not a good thing. So you are supposed to turn the compressor off, then detach the line, attach the line, turn the compressor on.

This mod gets you the features of the automatic compressors, without the additional cost (or maybe its the same cost, idk).

    Thanks!

Haha! I'm typically letting the smoke out of electrics. Just like mechanical stuff, it seems that having the proper tools does help.

I will see if I can source something to make the tee joints in the wire easier.

With the crimpers, terminals, and connectors, it was close to the additional cost of the 400P Automatic. Just parts? Less than $30.

I feel like I could do this with my very limited tools, I'd just need to see a better picture of the wiring laid out and where/how you tied into the oem harness. It is the one thing I wanted this compressor to have, the automatic shut off at a certain PSI.
