Vibes after Dakar install - replace 885 coils with 887?

    ...I will say this though. People comment/complain about how stiff the Dakar springs are unloaded and how their fillings are falling out even time they go over a bump...I don't find them too stiff at all, in fact the ride is much better then with the AAL I had.

    Mine ride fantastically. Best ride I've had, through 3 sets of suspension.

    LMAO. If I didn't like the way the Dakar's were setup out of the box I was going to remove the third leaf, drive around, reinstall and remove overload leaf, drive around and decide on which setup I liked most. What I'm saying is I'm sure at some point I'll put them in just to see and if I do, I'll let you know.

    You're ahead of me. If I do the 887 this will be my second suspension setup. To think I told my wife I was going to leave the truck stock, now I know why she pissed her pants laughing when I said it.

    She does, she loves my truck...oh and the ride too. :rofl: I was worried she wouldn't like the TRD exhaust I got but she loves that too. We're waiting on the OME kit for her 2015 Xterra Pro 4X. She's pretty keen on all of this which makes my sickness easier to deal with.

    2.25" from the 884s with no spacers (just the trim packer on driver side).

    2.75" from the Dakars with my shell.

    She sits pretty.

    Those caster numbers are a little low. Consensus around here seems to be that anything below 2 degrees on a lifted truck is inadequate, green numbers on the report notwithstanding. Increasing caster will help the truck track better, and you will also get some more clearance at the rear of the fender well.

    You should be shooting for 2.2-2.4 degrees caster. If you're running stock upper control arms you may not be able to hit those numbers though.

    personally... shoot for 3.4* Had my alignment guy get me that with my 5100's at 1.75 and SPC UCA's and OMG its a god damn dream to drive now.
