Hey i installed the 5100 shocks in the front and set at 2.5. after a week or so i notice a vibration at highway speeds that feels like my truck is bouncing. I have had a 4 wheel alignment done after shocks were installed and was wondering what the problem is and how to fix it?
    thanks,
    Dylan

what is your tire pressure set at? and just a heads up...........since the shocks are set as high as they can go, you are gonna have a bit of a harsher ride than stock, since the coil is preloaded as much as it is.

Maybe your wheels are out of balance?

My tires are set at 28 to 30 psi. I know it should ride stiffer but it feels like the truck is shaking.

hmmm. i guess first thing is to check all the mounts and such and make sure everything is tight, then go from there.

You might have paid for a 4 wheel alignment, but you only got a 2 wheel alignment...

Could the 2wheel alignment have caused the vibs?

As for the wheels being balanced it rode pretty smooth before the lift but it is worse now for sure and i dont know what could have threw them out of balance.

well.......first,you can only get a 2 wheel alignment on a truck(live axle has no adjustment), and it "MAY" cause some vibes if they didnt align it right, but chances are something isnt tight as it should be. take pics of the shocks mounted on the coils and post them.

I'd Read the lift sticky on uca's, says if you lift over 1-2 or so u need to get new upper control arms.

If the vibration is around 60 it most likely is ballance.
That seems to be the speed it is most noticeable at.

    Soon....
I would get your tires balanced before you start toying with the idea of UCA's. I needed them at 2.5", but every truck and people's tolerance of handling characteristics are different.

Yea i dont notice it except speeds above 50 so they might be off balance. How much are UCAs?

Does it feel like your whole truck is or is there a shimmy with the steering wheel at that speed? UCA's 400-1000 depending on what you go witih. LR, TC, Camburg, Icon
