I just lifted my 2015 double cab long bed.
I now have a harmonic vibration between 35 and 45 mph. There is also a noise “Vrrmm” “Vrrmm” LOL. It doesn’t matter if I’m accelerating or decelerating, braking or turning. It does not follow engine rpm and is present even with the truck in neutral. When I switch from 2WD high to 4WD high noise and vibrations stop. Back to 2WD and both return. I feel it on floor of drivers side but I have not had anyone in truck with me to isolate.

The shop said it was my driveshaft carrier bearing so they replaced that but vibration is still there. Tried differential drop and it’s still vibrating.

ELKA 2.5 Extended travel IFP with SPC UCA up front and ELKA 2.0 IFP rear shocks and 1.5” block

I’ve read the forum about the needle bearing but want input before I keep chasing and throwing money into an unknown.

    Thanks

Does the vibration go away when engaging 4WD?

If so then you probably need the ECGS front diff bushing needle bearing replacement.

Thanks. It does go away in 4WD.

Does anyone have the ECGS bushing removal tool and the bushing and seal installer for sale?

2.5 front lift. 1 in rear
2020 TRD OFF ROAD Tacoma here. Chasing same issue. Was sure it was bearing. The last time I was under the truck I hit the "skid plate" with my foot, it had a huge lingering vibration and humm noise. It mounts directly under the diff. The lift kit came with spacers for those mounts. I torqued the mounts down and problem solved. I'm tearing that tin crap off next and putting a real skid plate on. There was no play in my CV and it turned exact same as passenger CV. MB I just got lucky. Good Luck 2U.

I have something similar. Trying to figure it out. Mine is recently lifted but noticed it just before the lift after dealer put in new water pump.

at first noticed it while coasting from 40 down to 25mph. Now it seems to make a small vibration I feel like it’s coming through the pedals but idk. It’s between about 20’and 40mph

When it first started while coasting thought it was engine braking after I double checked my air pressure.

    Thanks.

my skid plate has been off and on 3times trying to find issue but I’ll check it again. I’ve tried a differential drop and that didn’t help. I ordered the new bushing and install tool. Just haven’t had a chance to have it changed yet.

I’ll update once I get it installed

Just had the needle bearing replaced with the ECGS bearing. Noise and vibration is gone. So far so good.

    Thanks all!
