Thanks Bill! looks like I will be getting the bushing kit and a driviers side cv axle. I will be driving 400 miles on the high way tomorrow. I hope this problem wont cause any delays.

Made it to Maine and back. The vibration is worse now. I feel it down around 30 mph and up to 70 mph. I'm going to order the bushing kit for the front drivers sdie. I will see if that makes this problem go away.
Thanks for all your help guys!

Ugh! This is the same damn thing my truck (05 4wd access cab 2.7. 5 spd stock suspension). I've changed both CV axles. Put in the ECGS clamshell bushing, changed all diff fluids, new rear driveline U joints. 0% success so far. Mine is an intermittent vibration, like pulses, and it's most noticeable at ~35 mph and at ~ 65 mph. Mine also goes away when I turn left. Somebody smart please help me!

Things. Stuff. Lots of bad decisions.

Reviving an older post hoping for some resolve. I've got a good howl going between 40-75. Turning to the right makes it stop completely. New CV, fresh fluid, good U-Joints, etc. Any ideas?

So just finally fixed my howl/roaring noise that would put a vibe in my steering wheel then disappear on a left turn.

Everyone told me if it went away on a left turn then it was a driver side bearing. Switched out driver wheel bearing and pulled needle bearing and switched it out with ecgs clamshell bushing. In the end, no fix to the problem but now driver side is solid with new bearings and that clamshell bushing.

So I then tore out my passenger side wheel bearing. Spun that thing and it sounded like shit. Put the original bearing that was on the driver side over to the passenger side and problem fixed. No sounds, no vibes.

quick way to diagnose is pull the wheels off the front. If you hear a sound spinning the hubs that’s probably the problematic wheel.
    Hopefully that helps.
