If it doesn't vibrate, it's not a truck!

If the ride isn't harsh, it's not a truck!

If your girl doesn't have to jump to get in, it's definately not a truck!

No vibes when I was at 1.75" and TSB, then went to 2.5" and AAL and had a bad take off shudder/vibe, had the dealer look at it and they installed a 1" CB Drop and they significantly reduced the vibe, but you can still feel it occassionally

Try the 3° shim. Personally, I would rather deal with the vibe than install shim.

I think I'm going to the same thing but get TSB rears. Sounds like most people with their fronts at less than 2" havent had issues at least not significant ones. My question is should I get the Eibach spring or just use the OEM TRD OR spring? I'll spring for the Eibach's if it will ride better (DD - mostly on the street but occasional wheeling).

Haven't been on for a while but just a quick update for anyone still subscribing to this thread. My take off shudder was completely taken care of with the install of a one piece drive shaft. I had it fabricated at a local shop using part of my existing shaft and the total cost was only $240. Not bad. The other vibration I had was caused by some bad bearings in the front diff and those are now gone since I had a new front diff installed. Not cheap but well worth it. Oh, the double cardan on the drive shaft was not necessary.

OP did you install the lift? If so how's it going? I've started to notice I may have the dreaded front end vibration. Its very slight but if I shut off the radio and drive on a smooth road 20-30 mph I can detect a kind of groan groan noise/vibe. The duratracs make some noise so its hard to detect but today I put it 4hi and back a few times and it does seem to go away when in 4hi! Right now it's not bad at all but is starting to bug me especially since I now want to bump the 5100's up a notch to the .85 setting with the Eibach spring for a 2.5" lift. This is to match the rear which now has the Deaver 3aal under the TSB pack (removed overload springs). It rides awesome now and doesn't bottom out anymore. The rear is amazing now but I have rake again - hence the need to move the front up a little. I think I also have a touch of the take off shudder coming from the rear cause its now about 2.25-2.5 lift but I do carry about 200lbs back there so its lowered a little. Damn these 2nd gens. I had my 99 4x4Taco lifted and didn't have any of this shit. I read about this crap but hoped I wouldn't have to deal with it. I may try the diff drop - most say that helps a bit but reduces clearance :(. then do the CB drop also. Just trying to work within the apparent limitations while getting some lift and not spending a fortune!

I'm about to put 5100s all they way around with stock rear, no TSB with fronts at .85 to start. As far as I know, mine is bone stock and from about 50-65, my steering wheel vibrates some...faster than that, just fine.
