I'm looking at a couple gen 1's for sale and have the carfax report on them.
What other free online resources are out there if you have the VIN # and want to know more about the truck's history?

What are you trying to figure out?

A thorough inspection will tell you a lot

The main one I'm interested in is 7 hours away, so I'll try and find someone to do a proper inspection, for now just seeing what I can find out online ahead of time.

You really gotta watch Car Fax unless all your looking for is where the truck was registered .

It is not a Federal Law that all shops need to supply data.

I put faith in an inspection by a sourced mechanic I am sure he never saw a 4x4 Toyota in his life.

Lesson learned that cost me $20,000.00

Best of luck in your search
