    I'm gonna get one of these viper alarms. It does not have remote start built in, but I would never use it anyhow. It is a 2 way pager system with a decent range. For around $100 it's not a bad deal.

    Many retailers are getting rid of these to get newer models, so they're cheap. Alarms haven't changed much in 20 years no matter how different the remotes look. They all work about the same.
