Well. My stock spindle has survived many brash adventures up to this point ti say the least. I don't think these will be a problem whatsoever for what I use it for. Pismo trip will prove that. If my body doesn'tcollapse under the frame! Lol.

It was convenient for me. So I don't mind paying a little bit more for it.

I'll bring my hydraulic crimper for battery cable if you bring your gear we can cold weld the terminals.

As a matter of fact, I think I'll rewire my dual battery main cables with you.

I think here's what I'll try and do on mod day.

    1. Rewire my dual batteries.
    2. Cut 2" out of my fenders.
    3. Replace a spacer on my Camburg UCA.

If you do that for me I will love you forever. Hahaha.

What else will I need? Two battery terminals, 25 feet of welding wire. Is that it? I think so right?

Yeah, just the wire and terminals. You can pick up some sealing heat shrink to make it look extra nice, I'd also pick up one or two extra terminals just in case.

Money is money :anonymous: but my ass is lazy

Ha... My issue is finding someone cheap enough. Headers is an expensive job. I've had a shop quote me 200 just to weld on a 2" piece of pipe on my exhaust. I also tried finding guys that could just jig my stock manifolds so I can use that and maybe even toss the jig around for others to use, no luck.

And yes the bumps are new. I even waxed them when I got them.

Yea i was thinking it was gonna run me rough $200-$500 to get the headers done, depending on if i pulled them myself or not. Dont really want to pay that, but i also dont want to pull headers on my own lol

I had Jerry weld up my spindles like a year or two ago, I think the price was something like $30 + additional for powder because I didn't feel like painting. He was very busy back then though and even busier now I think. So turn around time was a month.

What kind of terminals? Battery or ring style terminals? So the plan is to crimp then cold solder the wire to the terminals for extra safety right?

Just want to make sure I got my ducks lined up for the rewire, that way it's a simple straightforward relocate task.

No need to solder. When done right there is no room for the solder to move into the wire actually.

This is what a cold weld looks like after using a hydraulic press.

Crimp terminals is what you need. They look like this:

    But these will work:

TC gussets are $80 after tax and shipping

Shipping on the spindles was $31 to roberto. That comes out to $49 to prep and weld two spindles. I won't be covering shipping anymore. $40 per spindle is more than fair I think.

Interesting. I'll be sure to go to all those places. I think car audio may have the ring terminals. I know home depot has the wire, so I might have to hit up a few places.

No worries brother. I'm pretty busy I won't get around to welding up another set till at least the end of next week.

I didn't even think about you needing those electrical connectors when we talked about you relocating your battery. I work for a big power utility company, I would of thrown a few 1/0 lugs in the box for you. If you ever need stuff like that again, don't hesitate to shoot me a text.
