yea but does ford manufacture those tires? no, toyota on the other hand does program the PCU in their cars. now I'm not saying that it couldn't be the fault of whoever supplies the electronics to toyota because right now we don't know

Granted my initial point may have been too broad. However i believe the heart of my argument is pretty clear here. When Toyota has a recall it has most often involved a part or issue that is very very serious. I understand that Ford had a large recall, but that was Firestone's issue. I received Firestones on my Silverado when i first bought it and immediately changed them. Didn't blame Chevy because the DEALER PUT THEM ON.

So maybe Toyota should start doing some more research into it's suppliers or dealers? What you have to understand is that it does not matter who makes what parts for what company, they all get assembled at the main plant and therefore each vehicle runs through a full inspection or at the very least a representative batch inspection which should have yielded these issues.

You can bring up more arguments all you want that's fine with me. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Now if you single out my post I will be glad to present a rebuttal. But i promise you will not change my mind about Toyota. I love my new truck except for the transmission, as I previously stated. I just don't trust how their TSB's have pertained to some VERY serious issues lately.

Agree on one thing Toyota should stop using parts manufactured in US. :D

I'm with you, Recalls are just the car maker trying to correct the problem. They could just tell you to come in and pay for the fix :).

If it wasn't for the media and the internet, I would would never have known how bad toyotas' really are. And after me just getting rid of my 01 tacoma that I had to put on tires and front brake pads in 60,000 miles. What a piece of junk that truck was. I'm sure glad I didn't listen to any one but my gut when I bought my 10 dc a 3 weeks ago. By the way I'm being sarcastic. If my new truck is half as reliable as my 01 was, I think I made a good choice. Only the next ten or so years willtell.

Foglights are for fog, not oncoming traffic!
If I need to haul anything over 200lbs, I borrow my FIL's 10yr old Ranger.
Too painful to ride on the bumpstops to where I'm going....I guess when a truck gets past 36k mi, it isn't supposed to support it's own weight anymore.
That's what Toyota told me....After they told me to F-off if I wanted alloy wheels that actually kept their finish for more than 3 years.
