There you go I want to drive the posted safe speed limit and some left coast fruit cake wants to tell me how to drive on the right coast....

It is people that don't follow the posted laws that cause a lot of it... and a little thing called weather...

    No, I'm a Dick.

Truck doesn't fit your needs, you didn't do your research, go sell it an buy a different one.

You may have been stupid, but it's not too late to recover. ;)

I just Googled 2014 Dodge 3500 towing capacity and that was the information that I found. I guess I should have looked deeper. I did think the number seemed a bit low. That's what I get for only looking at the first bit of information. Derp. Either way, I stand by the fact that the Tacoma cannot be compared to a Ram when talking about towing. Two totally different trucks.

For the size of the tacoma I feel like it is a super capable truck. I towed a jeep on a 20ft flatbed trailer that weighed in right at 6800 pounds. I have the tow package and an add a leaf but I didn't have a brake controller on it at this point. Truck did fine, all the way from Nashville to Key Largo (right at 1000 miles)

been thinking the same thing. Thanks...

I was stupid...to buy into all the tech info and tow spec on the taco. Also stupid to buy one tow 2000 lb trailer.
    .
not too late to recover by dumping it of and get a truck that functions in the specs designed.

if we're playing that game, do all of the other members whine about a truck they dont like and things they know they'll never get on it and continue to frequent the forum for that same truck w/o getting rid of it already?

    Yep a bunch.
look at the 2nd gens bitching about all the wheel bearings, frame rust, electronic shorts..

See that is also where you are wrong. I like the Taco as a daily driver... it just fails to meet my needs for towing and the springs are in need of upgrades.

look at all the problems with springs and then they started repacing them......
    All bitch sessions.

just never seen a mod on a forum do as you have and change the thread...

and like i said before, those are legitimate issues. whining about specs on a vehicle that hasn't been released is completely different. this is on the level of the guy realizing he was too tall for his taco after owning it for an extended period of time.

Ok this post was asking about a brake controller or location for one.
it was clear at the show and in all the pictures they did not have one or a set mounting location.
Also I ask about a set of overload towing springs as in upgrades or an extra spring.
it was clear that they did not do that on those and one was stated to have the tow package and yet all the springs looked the same.
Yes they could upgrade the rate but my question was about a overload spring. Clear ther is not an extra.

We can only base our info on the trucks they show us and the info they gave along with pictures or seeing it in person.

so you think I should not be able to ask if or why not offer.a package.....

Yet all the other threads talking gear size and mph along with HP and torque.
And there is nothing that even shows anything about that...

    Who knows
Maybe you can play god if you get off on that stuff and go jack those posts and threads...

Marijuana is not legal in California except for medical purposes.

You must be thinking of Colorado.

And my parent had me the old fashioned way; they earned it.

And the only reason my mom can't remember is she is in a dementia ward.

So North Carolina. How's Uncle Dad these days?
