Don't have a Tacoma, but would like to. Have been flogging an 02 Chevy S-10 4x4 quad cab for the past two years past that the Chevy dealer condemned for lack of oil pressure. (am original owner) Antifreeze leak thru intake manifold into oil sump accomplished wiping out the back main bearing and the closest connecting rod to it. Straight 30 weight oil and 1 1/2 quarts of lucas additive keep it on the road. I had the pleasure of owning a 1982 Toyota prerunner with the solid axles front and back with the fiberglass bed and cap on the ass end. Looking to pickup a used Tacoma for Hiway and decent off road ability. Interested in available mod's for same, So what's the popular opinion pole on the current Tacoma's abilities? Miss my 82.
