Alright, got a stock 09 DC SB with the TRD sport package in 2WD. I want to run some beefier rubber all around and do it within a reasonable budget. Up until now, I was planning on going with Bilstein 5100's along with the factory TSB springs. I have been reading the forums enough to know that I will rub (more than likely) with this set up. What do I need to do (no bodylifts) to be able to run these and what is the cost for the set-up I'd be looking at?

    Any help/direction is appreciated.

    Aloha gang!

Well, you could run the billies set at 2.5 and the rear tsb aal from toytec. You would still have some rubbing issues but just on the plastic trim and you would more than likely have to remove your front mudflap. Another option is replacement coils such as the ome kit, but we are getting more pricey now. Regardless of the lift, you will have to do some minor trimming on the plastic at the least. Hope this helps bud

    remove front mud flaps
    bilstein 5100s set to 2.5
    toytec aal 1.5 for tsb
**get the right rims with the correct offset and backspacing**
    buy 285/70/17 tires
    install tires
get alignment after tires and lift are installed
    be happy

You can always get the billys set at 2.5 and buy the 1\2" spacer from toytec. I think thats what firefighter is running for his full 3" with minimal rubbing. No matter if you get 3" your still going to have to trim a bit!

check my sig for mod list and build thread
if you wanna do it the easy/cheap way just get spacers and remove the mudflaps. followed by an alignment.

You guys ROCK! Thanks for the input. Sounds like I can just about stick to my original plan + some trimming.

If you do go the full 3", be prepared to not have your alignment fully in spec. You'll need ball joint UCA's for that.

Thanks for the heads up. I want to lift as little as possible and still fit the 285's. I'm using the truck mostly for work and need to get into parking structures. I think 3" should be fine, but don't want to make the vehicle impractical for it's intended use.

That being said.....Those who know me, know I'll probably blow the deal and go for the gusto anyway. LOL

What would be the correct back spacing and off set to run those tires?

    P.S.
Sorry for bringing back a dead thread :)
