hoping for some help here. Want LT suspension, probably total chaos.
Just don’t want the fender flares .
Is it necessary or just preferred ?

You can do a +2 kit without fenders....most don’t do fiberglass with a +2. You must cut the stock ones though

Sounds like a wise choice, when going LT you have to do a lot of things to make the system work for what you want. Cutting and clearance of the fenderwell, CMC, gussets and reinforcement go hand in hand with a good LT set up.

There are plenty of people running +2 and no glass. Here’s a few examples and they are all running 35s...D4A2B321-0108-483A-B77D-0051A1592DD2.jpgE52983F8-5FB9-4593-93E3-4E5FE769C74A.jpg51D90384-4614-470F-9E21-74C776E427A2.jpg4FE8330D-168F-493B-B2A5-C402F2190884.jpg

I really don’t “need” them as I have a JKU and a tj wth them.
    I
Might swing by a body shop to see what they think the fender trim would look like.
    Thanks all

You can check out @90yota's build as he trimmed up his two inches so that he could clear 35s while maintaining the factory look on his third gen. Could be worth a read.

We have guys with our +2 and stock fenders.

It'll come down to your tire size as well!

Black Tacoma trimmed and added Flares.

A properly set up truck will handle better all day long than a LT truck that's not set up. I'm 3.5 TC with full LT in the back. I drove the TC Brown Derby truck that has stock length front TC and their rear set up--the truck drove 1000x better than my truck did. I've spent hundreds trying to get my truck to ride better and I still can't come close to the Brown Derby ride.

This is 100% true but you have to also know the limits of the truck and what it can and can not handle.

The Brown derby is a mid travel truck that will not be able to handle a lot of what an LT truck can handle ( like your truck ). It was designed for trails and mild off roading.

Not sure if you have done it yet but shock tuning for your set up will go a LONG way!

Alot of our +2 and +3 Prerunner trucks that we have built ( Tacoma, F150, Silverado ) definitely ride better than our full Race LT trucks especially as a daily. Less moving parts!

I have +3.5 Total Chaos with 35s. It rubs a lot, also when I jumped it my UCA hit the inside of the fender. I also have 4" maxtrac spindles, so if you arent running any additional lift you have to have fenders, if you run extra lift and 33s you could possible fit them

I jumped it on 33s, and when I say "jumped", i hit a sideroad beside the highway going 65 and jumped about 30 yards. With 35s it would probably get into the fenders, but I have 4" more lift than most long travel trucks
