I have a silver SR5 4x4 stock. I want to lift it up and put 33 inch tires, 20 inch rims, and a 3 inch lift. Anyone got any suggestions?

you're gonna get a whole bunch of "go with smaller wheels" or something similar but maybe not as nice

As far as lifting goes...what are you going to be doing with the truck

its mainly for looks. but i want the off-road look. i was looking at bmf novakane rims. i really like them but they don't come any smaller than 20 inch rims. if i get 18 inch rims I'm probably going to go with 32 inch tires. but i don't have any ideas on rims if i get 18's.

Ask him if he has the TSB leafs and then tell me if you think he needs a lift or not. I don't and did.

Besides, this is an enthusiasts site. We do things here because we want to and, yes, sometimes need to.

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
With 20's your really not going to have the off road look more like a mall crawler. And 33's on a 3" lift you will have to do some cutting to fit them even on a mall crawler.

It has EVERYTHING to do with lift when the dealer refuses to do the TSB. You being in Canada and having the leaf TSB standard obviously aren't aware of what some of us go through to try to get the TSB leaf setup. Therefore, your options are twofold: Pay out the ass for the TSB leafs on your own or do a an AAL, aka a lift, which is exactly what I've done.

I also don't agree with your assertion that a lift isn't a useful option. Clearly in my case it is for the lack of the TSB but also because of all the fire roads and back woods roads I take to fishing holes. Besides, as I said, this is an enthusiasts site and people are going to do what they want with their trucks, like the OP for example, and that sometimes involves mods you deem to be not "useful". You really aren't going to be one of THOSE guys are you and constantly post how this or that mod isn't "useful"? If so, do us all a favor and stop now. You've made your point.

I would, however, like a primer on how the usefulness of my vehicle is now compromised with my lift since I had no problems loading 500lbs of cargo, along with two dogs in the back seat, and embarking on a 600 mile trip on Sunday during which, for the first time, my truck did not hit the bump stops once for the first time since I bought it in 2007. That would be an interesting read, I would think.

The 4 leaf pack actually settles to sit 3/4" higher than the 3 leaf pack

Apparently. Instead of putting my LT kit on I guess I should just drive a stock truck off road?

When I first lifted my truck I still had my 20 inch rims on it for a while until I was able to get some rims and tires. I then went down to 17s.

This is what my truck looked like about 2 years ago when I first got my lift. Then I soon realized 20 inch rims and chrome was pretty freaking gay.

i want my truck to look good. Whether i go offroad or not. trucks can still look good with wheels, tires, and a lift and not have to tear the truck up in a mud hole. making the truck look good doesnt take away the utility of the truck. going mud bogging and rock climbing is what can tear the truck up. you are dumb.
