Want to make a super reliable take me anywhere 2000 tacoma, have no idea about trucks please help

Looking for information on best advice and parts for a get me in and out of anything and long distance rig please help

 

Super reliable??? ... Put bumpers, sliders and some skid plates and leave the rest completely stock (maybe some replacement coilovers to handle the front end weight better)

 

Put your location and stuff in the profile that pops up under the "You" section at the top of the screen. I'd also check the regional section to see if other people in your area can help you out with finding out what will help you accomplish your goal - meet ups to work on trucks are more common in some areas and you could learn diy from those as well.

@jberry813 @MTgirl may be able to put this in the 1st gen section also.

Figure out your needs. Then search here and learn what it takes. Best thing is not to be in a rush. Unless you're wealthy and find buying things twice amusing. I'm not well off but buy twice often on ignorance. At least I didnt buy a 3rd gen though.
