I'm a manager of tire sales at firestone, the destinations are a great tire, I would have gone with them instead of the revo2s but I get 50% off on Bridgestone and 30% off on firestones.

Larger the tire the less likely it comes in C, you can get em all in 265

    Not duratrac.
At least not here in Canada. That was another option I was considering. But only offer a 31 c or 33 e. Haven't looked much at the others though. Surprised you'd think with the Jeep 4runner and Tacoma crowd there's a fair size market for more 275s and 285s in a c or d class

Yeah I can't find any, I know man it's a bummer. I'll be going with 285 ridge grapplers or the falken at3w's on a 17 inch rim

At 54 pounds it's pretty much the same as the e rated. You sure you were looking at the c rated and not e rated ones?

285 will still probably have crappy MPG and need CMC

    I'm pretty sure I saw it after surfing a bunch. They're thick tires whether it's e or c. I think the E is 60+

    Weight comparison:
    LT285/70R17 121/118R LRE BFG ALL-TERRAIN T/A KO2 - 58lbs
    LT285/70R17 116/113Q LRC NITTO RIDGE GRAPPLER - ~54lbs
    P285/70R17 117T FALKEN WILDPEAK AT3W - 50.5lbs

LRE's are overkill for the Tacomas in my opinion.

@Joe23, I also want the tall narrow 33's... patience :)

I've never punctured a tire through the tread, it has always been the sidewall, and I've had many radial tire sidewall failures.

I'll be going back to duratrac c rated. They perform well in mud and snow as well as on slick pavement. They also have great road manners. E rated tanks your MPG, is hard on this finicky trans/motor combo, increase noise as they wear and will harshen your ride.

Joe Crow, my Canuck brother, if you are considering the AT3's, you really should look at the A/TW's. I've had them on for almost two months. They have unbelievable ice and snow traction for our weather. I think you really need to add them to the list for consideration. Perhaps they don't come in the size you're after, but if they do, they could be the ticket.

    Good luck.

After a week and 500 miles on a set of 265/70/17 C load KO2s, I think they're shit riding tires for everyday, mixed pavement use. They look great but, that's where it stops - even at 32psi. I narrowed it down to the Nitto G2 and Falken in a P rated Tire and the Nittos are going in this afternoon.

I'm glad Discount Tire has a ride quality guaranty.
