    Hello!
I have been a "lurking" member for quite a while during my extended decision making process but I think I am finally ready to pull the trigger on the purchase of a 2010 Tacoma Crew Cab 4x4 6' bed. I am a 53 yr old kitchen renovator in Raleigh, NC. I work my trucks hard for my job, offroad play and pleasure. I have been driving Ford Rangers for the past 15 years but alas my beloved Ranger will not be offered any time soon (if ever) in a four door, or any doors for that matter as the a$$holes @ Ford might discontinue one of the best selling trucks of all time next year! Because my wonderfull wife of 33 years and I just got word we will soon be grandparents I will need a 4 door for me sooner than that so with your help and advice I'm stepping up to the Tacoma.
I just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone here for the exreme amount of great info you have have provided me in deciding on this truck and all of the mods I will be doing to it!!! This forum blows away all others as far as comprehensive info/pictures/instructions and enabled me to spec a build I hope to be very happy with. I should be inking the deal in the next week or so and plan on becoming more active at the site soon.
Will post everything you all heped me build soon, just not sure if this is the right place to put it.
    Thank you again,
    Ken

Welcome Ken , I'm a residential builder and have basically the same truck in an 09 , I'm also coming from a Ranger , take my word for it , you are going to need a plastic surgeon to get the grin off your face , :D

Thanks everyone for the support and congratulations!
Especially OZ, it's very assuring to know I'm making the right decision based on what a fellow contractor has to say! I could'nt possibly get any more specific advise than yours. Also OZ I've needed plastic surgery for years anyway (I aint that purdy)...maybe I'll be able to get a "bulk" discount for the smile:D

    Ken ,

the only thing I think you may want to look into / add is the TSB for the rear suspension / leaf springs . My truck is the Canadian model and comes with 4 leaf springs , US models come with 3 leaves , you can have one added with this TSB , I can't imagine loading what I do now into the bed with one less spring ,
