at the moment I have 285/75/16 tires on my truck and I want to put 285/60/20 tires with rims at -25 offset. But I'm already about an inch away from the control arm do y'all think I'll need spacers or not?

That and a CMC and pinch weld mod and wheel well trimming and some fender trimming IF you haven't already. What's the back spacing on those 20's?

Right now I have a higher backspace and a positive offset, but my plan is to lessen the backspace and get a negative offset to allow the tir to fit.

Either way you're probably going to have some serious rubbing with a -25 offset. Sure you may clear the UCA but you're most likely going to have contact with the wheel well and cab mount when you turn your wheels past a certain degree. An let's not forget to factor in necessary clearance for up travel.

Maybe your local tire shop can set you up with a couple to throw on while you're there and check fitment. Also keep in mind up travel clearance while your wheels are turned.

I'd skip the spacers...you're already going to be pushed out far enough with a -25 offset. Adding spacers will also mean more chopping. But hey..to each their own I guess. Chop away my friend
