Whatsup guys wanting to do a 6 inch rough country lift with 33s. I'e got the 5 speed manual access cab.
Hoping since I've got the access cab maybe ill be a little on the lighter side since I dont have the huge seats behind me. Think I'll be fine with 33s? Can't find many threads on here with this configuration. Can some people chime in let me know what y'all think. Thanks
Dontwanna go 3 inches might as well go with 6. I'e seen some and I think it looks sick.:spending: ps. I'e got the 2.7 4 cyl. I'e seen plenty of 22rs with 35s so I think I'll be fine (hopefully)

Rough country doesn’t have the best rep around here. BDS makes a really nice 6” lift, that’s what most people here will recommend if you’re set on 6”. I’ve talked to and read quite a few people who love their BDS lift.

What are your goals? The 6"s aren't meant for offroading, pretty much intended for 35's on our trucks. They add a lot of weight and require cutting of the frame.

If you want 33's / 285's Go for a 3" lift and some trimming.

Whats bad about the rough country. I wont be doing any serious offroading just trail riding through some snow really. Not doing any serious rock climbing/ mud holes. Im sure the rough country isnt the best but it wouldn't be good enough just to raise the truck? Are the kits total junk / garbage? Im not rich by any means lol

My goal is to just raise the truck and slightly bigger tires mainly for looks in not going to a hill climb event or some tough truck challenge lol

I just hate to go with the 3 inch I might as well spend a little more to have it looking more badass. This picture is exactly how I'm trying to get mine 298393-1-2016-tacoma-toyota-rough-country-suspension-lift-6in-fuel-hostage-black-1.jpg

yea well you get what you pay for. that kit I think is over 1000 dollars. haven't heard too much on it but I say do whatever makes you happy. if it fits with your intended goal go for it.

    I have a 6" rc lift with 35s.
Just take her easy when off road.
    No trimming required.

    I've only ever installed Pro-Comp 6" lifts.

The cheap 6" lifts just add crazy tall spacers on the factory struts.

Good lifts have full coil overs to match the height needed for the front suspension.

Lights, 3in lift, tires/ wheels, being awesome
You can fit 33s with a 3in lift just fine, plus a 3in lift is completely reversible while the bracket lifts are permanent, and feel sketchy as fuck when your driving the center of gravity is way to high and feels awkward.

Putting any lift over 3 inches will completely void warranty on the frame, drive train, and suspension since you have to cut old things out and weld new things in. With a 3 inch you don't have to do any cutting to install the lift usually, just gotta trim things depending on the tire size for rubbing
