Once you cut your crossmember and put the drop bracket in, you REALLY REALLY don't want to remove it and put ANOTHER drop bracket in later ..... this is a 'permanent' modification to the vehicle.

Don't let it be. Spend the extra. I worked at an offroad shop for 8 years. Sold everything from Super lift to Fabtech. We would not sell or install Rough country stuff. Quality was just not there. Some people run it and never have an issue, but why take the chance over $200 bucks. You would be gambling a lot for not a lot of money.

Not to mention 6” lifts look foolish with all that extra metal bs underneath and really don’t give you any extra clearance. Smaller lifts will do way better off-roading with the right components unless you are going for the pavement princess look

This statement always bothers me. 6” lift gives me the same clearance as your cranked up 3” lift while retaining all of the factory driveline angles up front and all of my stock down travel, aka droop, that you took 3” out of.

Is all 6" gained from moving the cross member down?

If so you would have gained ground clearance under the door sills but not under the cross member. The oil pan, etc would be higher but the cross member will still hit like a stock truck no?

A drop bracket will help you fit huge tires which is true ground clearance to the cross member and diff. Those are the things you are always farm jacking yourself free from IMO but without the huge tires it's like it's stock.

The BDS drop bracket is roughly a 4.5” drop so yes there are large gains under the body etc while the cross member clearance on 35s would be equivalent to a stock truck fitted with 33s and replaced coilovers.

Can' remember but I got them on ebay. Only thing that sucks is it takes 2 weeks to get these bastards it was torture. Think they were 319 but they fit like a glove. Cover king full mandrake is the name of these. They have about 10 other colors in this design. Here is a slightly better picture but in person they look even better20180523_070547.jpg

Not exactly. I’ve measured diffs on both. 2” OME lift with aftermarket UCAs will differ at a max of 1” between diffs...point is why? Unless you are going to run 40” tires to actually look like the rubber is mated with all that metal

Plain and simple...because I want to and I can.

I still don't understand the drop bracket hate from you overland wanna-be's. It's worse than the EcoBoost vs. V8 arguments from the F150 guys.

Ok fair enough. Just seems silly from a financial standpoint unless your warranty is up

Looks killer man. I’m honestly probably going to swap my 3” ome out for a bds 6in’ eventually.

I'm so damn confused on what you're trying to get at. You get what you pay for at the end of the day. Regardless of what 6 inch kit you go with, you will not be switching back unless you weld the x-member back in. I went with BDS/Fox opposed to RC because the quality/customer service/warranty is by far more superior and is complete with everything out the box.
