Same here I went with the 2.7 figures it would probably be a better choice being that they haven't changed a thing on it in the past 10 plus years. They just redid the v6s.
So yours is 6 inches and no problems? People are scaring me away from the 6 inch lift :(:(:(:(:( is yours a manual trans? I don' have the ect button did on my 98 4runner

I have zero issues with rough country.
Just don't get crazy like I did or you will find out it's limitations.

Don't let haters determine what you buy or don't buy for your truck.

    Hell... ITS YOUR TRUCK!

Would that be a Saab V4 from the 70s? Because as far as I know, Toyota never made a V4.
Yes I'm going to be that guy.

OP, like others have said, it is your truck you should do what you want. I'll spare you my opinion on it. But what I will say is definitely be prepared for the warranty issue. As others have said you will probably avoid a warranty on your frame, and you may have a hard time claiming any warranty on all of your other drivetrain components. Keep in mind, and what a lot of people do not understand, is that the dealership has the burden to prove your modifications caused early wear and tear or damage. That doesn't mean you might not have a fight on your hands.
The only other thing I would say to consider is saving up for a better quality kit. It's one of those things where you might spend the money now and then regret not having waited until you can afford to buy a nicer suspension.

OME Bp-51s and Total Chaos ucs's. Pushing about 3 inches. Running Cooper ST Maxx in 265 /75 16r. Buy once cry once or more than once lol.
Really a different category suspension than what the OP is looking for, much more pricier, and overkill for OPs intended use.

As others had said for what the OP is looking for BDS would definitely be the better choice and, no doubt, offer a better ride.

I'm on my 3rd Tacoma with a 6"+ lift (1999, 2006 and a 2017). PM me with your questions I will answer with no BS. 6" lifts aren't really accepted here with plenty of "myths" associated. I've been there done it.

The only real evidence of rough country being junk is a couple videos on YouTube which one of them has no audio and the other video is a guy throwing his shocks in the trash in sang I'm done with this. Of course the bits and pieces are most likely trash but what about the main stuff like the brackets and everything it can't be that bad can it

I know a lot of people will say " keep it factory and you won' have any issues" but I've seen that one YouTube video of the red chevy being launched 40 feet and it coming down and bassicly destroying the thing

How does different brand suspension parts have any difference on your drivetrain warranty and IMO why would I spend 4 k for a lift when I use this as a daily driver ? Nothing I did voided any of my warranty and I have it in writing with my dealer. Thus being said your opinion is shit.
